It has him secluded in a bedroom, for hours, watching film. It crushes a weaker mind. Its getting tougher, annually, with each tweak of the rules. Now, Gilmore faces No. 1s exclusively. BackInDaDay Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) Not a big Gilmore fan. I think he better than average, but not a shutdown CB.. Hopefully he steps up or gets helps with the Jets' Marshall, Miami's Jennings, Pats' Wayne, Cowboys' Bryant, and Giants' Beckham.. and guys i may have missed who we'll play this year. These guys are as good at what they do, as Gilmore is at covering. edit - Wayne just asked for his release from Pats, so at least he wont have him visiting 'the island' Edited September 5, 2015 by BackInDaDay

Gilmore was the definition of a "shut down CB". The guy can play, I'm excited to see what he can do with this kind of aggressive defensive scheme.
BackInDaDay Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 TY Hilton, AJ Green yeah.. thanks.. i think You should consider going back and watching some of the tape from the second half of last year. Gilmore was the definition of a "shut down CB". The guy can play, I'm excited to see what he can do with this kind of aggressive defensive scheme. being that Schwartz was content with letting our front 4 bring pressure, i doubt there were many times our safeties weren't giving help - but i'm not going to argue because i don't have game film, and i can't recall. i just have my impressions of him the last few years, and my impression is he ran hot and cold. but i'm sure hoping you're right and i'm wrong, because we know Rex is gonna ask alot from both our corners
clearwater cadet Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I dont know i just cant get over excited about him but there probably a lot of x and o i just dont understand.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/09/05/bills-gilmore-ready-to-inhabit-an-island-paradise/ Great read, Thanks Yolo! Find myself really liking Tyler Dunne. But then I like a lot of Graham's articles too when he isn't on Twitter
Bookie Man Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Not sure about island status quite yet. Gilmore peninsula, perhaps for now. But I do think he can get there. Love his demeanor. Similar to Sammy's.
Nihilarian Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 why would Gilmore worry when he has Robey on the other side who will get all the attention. the Bills secondary worries me this year, and not sure why
Nanker Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 why would Gilmore worry when he has Robey on the other side who will get all the attention. the Bills secondary worries me this year, and not sure why Well, they were getting lit up regularly during the preseason, so there's that.
jeffismagic Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I really appreciate some of the early work done by Dunne. It's like he's getting football information out there. This is exactly what fans what more of.
Beerball Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Well, they were getting lit up regularly during the preseason, so there's that. That may be part of the reason for his unease.

Yea- that and what's with Wayne/Jennings in that list with dez? Far different caliber a of players all grouped together
bmur66 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Hopefully he won't have to do much tackling because he needs to stay healthy
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 With blitz packages ready and rush great Gilmore will be fine.
Best Player Available Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 With blitz packages ready and rush great Gilmore will be fine. yep, Rex showed virtually nothing in preseason. And hung Darby out to dry for the game experience. I expect a completely Different look come opening day. Gilmore will be just fine this year.
