ScrewyLouie Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Bills have to pray nobody on the offensive line gets hurt. Kujo and Cyril Richardson are totally useless. If they're lucky maybe the Bills can find an offensive lineman or two on the waiver wire. Kujo is definitely a bust. I can't believe Whaley took this guy in the 2nd round. WOW what a mistake that was. RIchardson doesn't look a whole lot better either. NO DEPTH on the O line. The other area I see with absolutely no depth is corner. I think the Bills will eventually be forced to move Graham back to corner. Ron Brooks is a good special teams guy but he stinks at corner. He couldn't cover me. I have a feeling McLovin will be out most of the year so you can't count on him. Injury was a lot worse than the Bills thought. Edited September 4, 2015 by ScrewyLouie
GunnerBill Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I only stayed awake through the first half last night but I thought Kujo was ok... not great but ok.... Urbik and Richardson looked bad from what I saw. I agree with the sentiment though. They need the first 5 to stay healthy.
thebandit27 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Kouandjio looks like he'll be serviceable as a backup, and I don't thnk Urbik is awful when he's playing alongside other starters. I do think that I'd like another option; perhaps if Levitre is let go he'd come back here for a modest salary as a backup.
billsfan89 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Kujo might be able to play a half way decent RT. Urbik could go either way. But Richardson is very soft. They should look into cuts to see if there is a vet guard they could bring in to replace Richardson.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Yuo're also assuming you're going to be playing four backups at once. Barring injury OL don't come off the field. May not look too bad with one or eve ntwo backups forced to play. Plus likely can find some improvment from other teams cuts.

Baby steps: having 6 solid o-linemen is way better than what was expected going into the pre-season
CNY315 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) This is damn near every team in the league Edited September 4, 2015 by CNY315
YoloinOhio Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 @ChrisTrapasso: Cyrus Kouandjio got +2.4 @PFF grade for his effort vs #Lions. Highest-graded BUF player. Finished PS as PFF's top-graded OT. Really improved

Finished PS as PFF's top-graded OT. Really improved @ChrisTrapasso Last year, Kouandjio racked up a -10.9 @PFF grade in the PS. Thought he showed much better balance / anchoring / hands in camp and preseason

Finished PS as PFF's top-graded OT. Really improved huh...I didn't watch the game, but I keep hearing Cyrus was horrible. What grade did Richardson get?
NoSaint Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Kouandjio looks like he'll be serviceable as a backup, and I don't thnk Urbik is awful when he's playing alongside other starters. realistically, i think most teams are happy to see backups of roughly that quality. if going deeper than that, any team is going to feel a lot of pain.
nucci Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 huh...I didn't watch the game, but I keep hearing Cyrus was horrible. What grade did Richardson get? Richardson was worse than Kujo
Uffalo Ills Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Urbik is absolute trash. I'd honestly rather watch the CFL than watch him try to get the ball to a guy in Shotgun.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Kujo is clearly getting better. I think with a year of good coaching and some spot duty which he will see in jumbo packages he will still be a good player in this league. Don't think we want him out there yet for full games though.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 huh...I didn't watch the game, but I keep hearing Cyrus was horrible. What grade did Richardson get? Hearing from whp? Didnt see him get beat yesterday, he was LT also. He has been very solid. Urbik is also solid. No team has 8 solid OL. Our top 7, based on preseason is very good.
Chilly Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Kouandjio is pro football focus top rated tackle for the entire nfl in preseason.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Urbik is absolute trash. I'd honestly rather watch the CFL than watch him try to get the ball to a guy in Shotgun. Not a good snapper. Not a natural center. That guy they claimed may e backup center.
NickelCity Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 The depth is certainly concerning. Not only will it stagnate the offense but also Tyrod's development if he's scrambling for his life.

You have to factor in as a unit they suck, if you can plug one in to a decent OL they're OK. Kujo looked much improved earlier in preseason. Richardson was cut. Urbik is OK at guard but the thought of him playing center makes me queasy, which (I expect) is why they brought in a center. I expect they'll try to bring in at least one OL for the PS.
