I think the Bills are 95% sure McCoy will be ready week 1 (I hope so, I have him in fantasy and although I can swap him out for Doug Martin I would prefer not to in a PPR league). But that doesn't mean that the 5% chance he won't be isn't something the Bills won't have a small concern over.

Muscle Hamster...really? After last season I won't ever trust that guy again.

EDIT: Funny thing now that I recall, I benched Martin and picked up Freddy who did pretty good for me.

You gleaned all this from his one pre season game against Carolina where he rushed 14 times for 40 yards a 2.9 yard per carry average, or perhaps his exploded testicle?

Lord that's a scary thought.

I doubt their game plan is to drop back 50 times against the leagues best pass rush with a suspect offensive line. I hope it is.

Contrary to ESPN report A source close to LeSean McCoy tells me the Bills RB will be ready for week 1 unless he has a setback w/hamstring.

Let's just go with reporters have no idea what's going on and just guess. Our own local reporters had no idea what was going on with the QBs and they supposedly follow the team.

If he isn't ready to go, then cutting Jackson looks real bad.

Not really. I know people here don't like to hear it (and disagree, which is their God-given right), but cutting FredEx without offering him a chance to renegotiate his contract argues that the Bills saw Jackson as the #3 or (more probable) the #4 RB. So if McCoy isn't ready, they expect #2 and #3 to step up.

So this report is kinda Shady?

It ain't the real McCoy.

I saw what you did there. :D:beer:

I don't know about that, Karlos and Bryce both looked great in the first preseason game.

Bryce yes, but what exactly did Karlos do vs Carolina that was "great"? Was it the 14 carries for 40 yards? Was it all the tackles he broke? All the guys he made miss? All the tacklers he bounced off of? Effective use of the hit and spin? Seriously, what was it??

I liked Karlos' power. Keeps his legs churning. His role isn't the same as Bryce's, who I think in a McCoy-out situation would get the start.

I don't know too much about Shady other than he's a slasher and quick (as opposed to an up the gut back I guess). I'll watch a few regular season games and find out I guess.

Shady knows how to set up blocks and is a very instinctive cut back runner. CJ is very often impatient and thus is prone relying on his great speed by bouncing outside on too many carries.

26 beat me to it, but McCoy is a very good up the gut runner. Far better than Spiller. His greatest talent, that's really unmatched by any other back in today's NFL and what makes him special, is his ability to cut in the hole. When he was in Andy Reid's offense he was asked to run up the middle far more than in Kelly's. Bills fans who really haven't watched much of McCoy before are going to be very happy with him -- especially in a Greg Roman offensive scheme.

Did you not watch the game? Karlos ran like his hair was doused w gasoline, and someone was chasing him w a welding torch. In other words he ran hard and fast. The kid has got game. He will end up being an excellent pick for the Bills. He makes Fred look like he is running in reverse on a treadmill.
