YoloinOhio Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) @AndyTWCNews: #Bills Rex Ryan says Seantrel Henderson is the starter at RT. Says once he put his mind to it, it was clear he's the man for job. @ChrisTrapasso: Slowly developed over the summer & in the preseason... was a brick wall in pass pro vs. Steelers. https://t.co/qPv4dvsRGn Edited September 2, 2015 by YoloinOhio
NickelCity Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Expected as much, thought Rex had already mentioned this. He earned it. Congrats Seantrel.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Congrats! I am excited to see how much better our OL is this year CBF
stony Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 His progression will go a long way in whether the Bills are serious about making a competitive offer to Cordy at seasons end.
NickelCity Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Let's just pray they all (the starting OL) stay healthy.
ALLEN1QB Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Good move. O line going to be much better this year.
Doc Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I was hoping CyKo would play just as well and make it a tough decision, and allow Hendy to move to LT next year.
DC Greg Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Love it. Hope he continues to develop. Talk about finding value in the seventh round. Honestly have no idea how so many teams passed on this guy in rounds 5-7, ourselves included. Character concerns over pot have proved to be unwarranted.
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Fitzy graduated from Harvard and plays with his wedding ring on.
Doc Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 On a somewhat related tangent, it's interesting that highly-coveted UDFA La'ell Collins isn't a starter even at OG for the Cowboys.
purple haze Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I was hoping CyKo would play just as well and make it a tough decision, and allow Hendy to move to LT next year. I think Cyrus has played fairly well in preseason. He's much better than last year. If he develops over the course of the season I wouldn't be surprised to see Cordy allowed to walk. They can't keep everybody.
DC Greg Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Good move. O line going to be much better this year. To think that we are hopeful for this despite losing the o-line guru. Who would have thought we could do it without him?

Yeah, but we sort of knew that going in as I believe their OLine is stacked. He would have been a nice pick up and would have been a starter for us, at least no later than next year.

I think Hendy will be the LT next year and will have to pencil-in CyKo at present and hope he continues to improve. Yeah, but we sort of knew that going in as I believe their OLine is stacked. He would have been a nice pick up and would have been a starter for us, at least no later than next year. Maybe next year since RI is on a 1-year deal. But Zack Martin didn't play last game and they had an 8th year journeyman starting in his place, while at LG they had a 3rd year UDFA.
billsfan89 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Cyrus looked better this off-season and camp but Henderson looked to have beat him out from what I have read. He still needs more development but as a backup swing tackle he has a role that he can handle while developing his game. Hopefully Cyrus makes enough progress for the Bills to have the option to be reasonable on a Glenn contract next season.

Coach Tuesday Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Could you explain this part? The Bills will have more leverage in discussions because they have an LT-in-waiting (Seantral) and a RT-in-waiting (CuJo) - they won't have to completely break the bank and overpay for Glenn.
