Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I the interview with Sirius that took place this past week Wood didn't even mention Cassel. I was wondering what I missed.
JESSEFEFFER Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 You mean the one that was tipped by a Steelers' Lineman? I was LMAO at Tasker during the game when he was killing EJ for that pass. Yep. Similar play last year where SD's Kendall Reyes tipped a ball intended for Sammy. It came in at his shoetops and certain Bills fans talked about EJ throwing another "dirt dart."
reddogblitz Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Was under the impression they don't suit up three QB's. See previous post ^ The emergency (third) quarterback may now enter the game in just the fourth quarter, regardless if the other two quarterbacks are able to play. This means that if the third string quarterback enters the game, the first and/or second quarterback may re-enter, unlike the past two seasons where the emergency quarterback would only play off the first two were unable to resume play. http://www.jt-sw.com/football/pro/index.nsf/Documents/0-rules
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Us EJ guys gotta get on board the TT train cuz he's the guy. Rex and Whaley ain't gonna pull him for EJ barring utter collapse. Those pro football guys would rather hang themselves in their bedroom closet wearing women's lingerie than admit they are wrong. It's TT or bust baby! What, What? This is Rex Ryan we're talking about and that's just too much information about his personal preferences.

Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I can't believe there are posters on here who have the gall to think that they saw enough and know more than the Bills brass in terms of who should have been named the starter. I pay pretty close attention to this stuff guys. Everyone on planet Earth had EJ behind Cassel and Taylor in camp. Everyone. In the preseason, I think Taylor showed the most. I think EJ played great but I think Taylor was even better. Most everyone agrees with this as well. There has been a HUGE buzz throughout the NFL surrounding Taylor all summer. It was a relatively easy decision for the coaches. I'm not sure what some of you are missing here. Whoa, Metz!!! You know you're on TBD here, right? I agree on the ranking TT>EJ>Cassel myself, but plenty of us have all sorts of gall to second-guess Bills brass and coaches. We do it routinely, and sometimes, some of us are right.... ....then again, even a busted clock is right twice a day, or so they tell me. I personally have my doubts; what if it's set to military time?
TSOL Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 What, What? This is Rex Ryan we're talking about and that's just too much information about his personal preferences. Yeah, that was maybe too colorful of an analogy...
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 That's fair, you seem like a reasonable poster to be honest. I just think it's a little ridiculous if you guys are nitpicking at Taylor all year and acting like a mistake by Taylor is a victory for the EJ supporters when that is the guy who EJ could not beat out in the first place. If Brian Hoyer falters that doesn't mean that Ryan Mallet is good or would be any better. 1) TT is the starter now. Being nit-picked by all just goes with the territory. 2) by definition, when a team loses, the backup QB is the most popular guy in town. So if EJ winds up as the #2, that goes with the territory too.
Nanker Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Cassel's been cut already, says another post on The Wall. Clayton evidently is the source.
BreezeMafia Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 MC has been cut, just reported on ESPN by John Clayton.
LeGOATski Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I wonder what FA QB they're bringing in. It only makes sense.
NoSaint Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I wonder what FA QB they're bringing in. It only makes sense. could easily be someone (simms included) for the practice squad. a lot of teams keep 2.
reddogblitz Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I can't believe there are posters on here who have the gall to think that they saw enough and know more than the Bills brass in terms of who should have been named the starter. It wasn't that long ago around here, there was a QB battle in PS. The coaching staff and brass chose Trent Edwards. Some on here (myself included) had the gall to say that Trent sucks and Fitz should start. After 2 weeks Trent was unceremoniously dumped and cut in favor of Fitz. Sometimes the coaches and brass (and reporters) are wrong even with much more info.
Maury Ballstein Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 MC has been cut, just reported on ESPN by John Clayton. I guess Clayton wasn't there with Metz all camp long. This makes no sense
BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Patrick Albion @BeardedAlbion 8m8 minutes ago @SalSports John Clayton just reported on Sportscenter that Cassel was cut. True? 0 retweets 0 favorites Sal Capaccio @SalSports 6m6 minutes ago @BeardedAlbion I haven't heard that and no one else here has. I wonder what FA QB they're bringing in. It only makes sense. Atlanta released Rex Grossman
LeGOATski Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 could easily be someone (simms included) for the practice squad. a lot of teams keep 2. Yeah, but if Roman likes a developmental dual threat guy such as one of the Cardinals' back up QBs, it makes sense to go for it and frees up money for the big re-signings.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Yeah, but if Roman likes a developmental dual threat guy such as one of the Cardinals' back up QBs, it makes sense to go for it and frees up money for the big re-signings. Are you hinting at bringing in former hokie qb Logan Thomas?
LeGOATski Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Are you hinting at bringing in former hokie qb Logan Thomas? Lol...we love them Virginia QBs! Philip Sims played for Virginia too
Doc Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 @SalSports: Matt Cassel just said he wouldn't go into specifics of conversations but every indication was made to him Bills will keep 3 QBs. Who told him that, Whaley? Ask Freddie what Whaley's word is worth. @viccarucci: EJ Manuel took 2nd QB reps in practice w #Bills Friday. Cool. But, I have been wrong before LOL! That was quick. $4.75 million for a 3rd string? I dont see it. Cut Cassel and give his money to Dareus No #2 QB makes even close to that amount. A third stringer?
