Rex said it was a fair competition.

indeed

rex let the cat out of the bag. so much for subterfuge!

could you imagine the explosion on here if he was named the starter for the opener :o:lol::devil:

Of course Simms get the mop up game with all the guys on the brink. Cassel might not even be on the team soon.

i am actually hoping for this. he still has that belichick taint on him.

Who knows with this staff, Rex said he'd keep all three, have to wait till cut down day

He said he'd keep three QB's, not necessarily which ones.

Simms to start game 4 :w00t:

yeah, I called that in one of the QB threads too. It was speculated before pre-season started and Rex never wavered. But the real test is, how does a QB bring you into halftime and take you out of it. T-mobile is the choice....

Bad news for Cassel. He's gone.

That would be a mistake IMHO. I'm not saying I think he should start, but with so many unknowns in the QB picture (including the unknown of potential injuries) it could leave us scrambling - in a bad way - for a QB.

I don't think so. The big knock on the 2013 team was the lack of a proven vet after the "Kolb Affair". The Bills will never again be forced to use a Jeff Tuel or Thad Lewis as a 3rd string.

It's not like Taylor was in a coma for 4 seasons.

Cassel hasn't been able to stay healthy 3 of the past 4 seasons. He doesn't really help in that area.
