In that spirit, Ive compiled my All Playoff Drought Team. Despite an overall record of 97-143 (.404) and just two winning seasons, some pretty darn good players have come through Orchard Park since 2000. This team would be tough to beat. Solomon Grundy Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/columnist/roth/2015/08/28/buffalo-bills-playoff-drought-leo-roth-drew-bledsoe-donte-whitner/71306142/ I'd rather Gregg Williams as HC than Dick Jauron. Gregg was more of a risk taker. Although I wouldn't mind a re-hash of the Dick Jauron song!!
Kirby Jackson Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I was actually hoping that the "all-drought" team would have been a list of the bad players that contributed to the last 15 years. Maybe there would have had to be some criteria that they had to start at least 10 games. It would have been a fun/depressing disaster.
BUFFALOKIE Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 "The 0-for-15 Bills can know they are always welcome to come home. Remember, once a Bill, always a Bill." 0-15. Symbolic.

Kirby Jackson Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) the list would be long and devastating. Any interest in starting a thread on it? I think that it would be fun. Edited August 28, 2015 by Kirby Jackson

Kirby Jackson Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 lol, no my day is going too well!! I thought about it and it would be a fun offseason topic. It may be the best fit after preseason game 3 when the productive conversation will come to a screeching halt (if it hasn't already)
Jamie Nails Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Keith Ellison is the player that sums it all up for me.
Kirby Jackson Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Keith Ellison is the player that sums it all up for me. Ha ha, he was on my list (as was Donald Jones, about every TE, Tim Anderson, and a bunch of other stiffs)
Wayne Cubed Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I thought about it and it would be a fun offseason topic. It may be the best fit after preseason game 3 when the productive conversation will come to a screeching halt (if it hasn't already) Let's give it a go (minimum 10 games started): QB: Alex Van Pelt (he would later become a horrible OC) RB: FB: WR1 Donald Jones WR2: Josh Reed OT: Demtress Bell OG: Derrick Dockery C: Duke Preston OG: Brad Butler OT: Kirk Chambers or Mike Williams TE: Derek Schouman DE: Ryan Denney DT: Larry Triplett DT: Tim Anderson DE: Chris Kelsay LB: Keith Ellison LB: Kelvin Sheppard LB: John DiGiorgio CB: CB: SS: FS: Ko Simpson that's what I have so far...
Tyrod's Tailor Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Sam Gash left after the 1999 season. Roth messed up there.

Ahhhhh
Wayne Cubed Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) i see so many horrible dark blue jerseys... Ahhhhh Couple of them are pretty tough, like RB. At this point I think it has to be CJ just because he's been the most disappointing. McGahee, Henry, Lynch all were productive in Buffalo. Edited August 28, 2015 by Wayne Cubed

WOW, is that team horrible!!! Bookends of Bell and Chambers?!?
chris heff Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I think some of you missed the point. Roth was referring to good players over the last 15 years.

Kirby Jackson Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) I think some of you missed the point. Roth was referring to good players over the last 15 years. We know, I suggested earlier it may be fun to do the opposite. What is the worst possible lineup that you can construct of guys that started at least 10 games? Wayne took an unbelievable first pass at it. Edited August 28, 2015 by Kirby Jackson
