metzelaars_lives Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Again, there is this narrative on here that people have an anti-EJ agenda. Why? Why would anyone root against a first round draft picky by the team they love more than anything with a ton of physical tools? For Christ's sake, if he appeared to be developing into a good QB, everyone would be cool with it, I can assure you. Some just don't see it.
Maury Ballstein Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 See you actually bother me a little bit. Half this board accuses the other half of the board of being anti-EJ when 85% of those accused of being anti-EJ (myself included) are just realists. Conversely, at least 40% of this board is adamantly anti-Cassel. I suspect that you are rooting against Cassel more than anyone is rooting against EJ. Can't we just all be Bills fans? You know ej sucks I know cassel sucks. We are even Steven. Only my test subject has a rag arm and a longer record. You twist items a bit to fit your agenda. Nice "realist" drop.
YoloinOhio Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Can someone check to see if Joe B is still alive #staywoke

See there ya have it. You really believe that EJ appears to be pulling ahead? That's insane if you really think that. You're so full of care right now. Caring so hard.
thebandit27 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Nope. Where's the fun in that? Perhaps there is no fun in that...there is, however, a modicum of dignity attached.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 It's fair. Good move, Rex. Yes. Now no one can complain when a final decision is made. I love how Rex starting EJ is like the ultimate decider on who the best QB is. Well Rex is starting him so clearly he's the best. Because the Bills have nailed that for the past 15 years so well. I doubt many seriously are using this as proof of anything. So I'd say RELAX and enjoy the hilarity .
TSOL Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Tyrod has led the team to as many TD's as EJ this preseason. Just because he didn't throw them doesn't mean he didn't get them there...you need your QB to be able to throw strikes in the red zone. How can you possibly dispute that?
nucci Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I want to see how the team reacts to EJs start!! Will they have a pep in their step?? A lot of players playing for jobs. Why wouldn't they?
metzelaars_lives Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Oh you must be having a field day. You did it! It's over! Congratulations!

Why dont you ask the posters calling other "EJ Lovers" "EJ Supporters" etc? Since they obviously DONT support him.

Something about folks coming into this thread and saying things like "oh now all the little EJ-lovers can pretend he still has a shot" (paraphrasing)...not you, but you cannot deny that it's consistent within every EJ discussion.

BillsFan-4-Ever Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I think I have broken the code, explained in detail below. QB starters Scrimmage - EJ Carolina - Cassel Browns - Tyrod Pittsburgh - EJ . . . . . Lions - Cassel - - - - - Indianapolis - Tyrod (me) I just have to say it.... (myself) Now be nice (I) grrrr.
DrDawkinstein Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Oh you must be having a field day. You did it! It's over! Congratulations! My man, you are starting to come off as more than a little butt hurt. Just admit it's a good thing for the team to see what EJ has this weekend. If he fails, then he fails and we can move on. If he does well, then great. That's all.
thebandit27 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) Oh you must be having a field day. You did it! It's over! Congratulations! How is this any different than when you went on a 2-day bender of pointed sarcasm when the opposite implication was put out there? Look man: I respect you. You're a good poster...you simply have not been level-headed about this particular player. Edited August 27, 2015 by thebandit27

Yeah there are some. That's why I said 85% of the people, like me, who still think he is unlikely to start, are not rooting against him to start. There appear to be a handful who are. But the "Meh" guys annoy me most of all.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 you need your QB to be able to throw strikes in the red zone. How can you possibly dispute that? The TD is worth 6 whether it is passed in or ran in. He's delivered 2 catchable balls to Thompson in the endzone and they haven't been caught. He's also only had 6 possessions, so the sample size is pretty small to just assume he can't do it.

Everybody's good. My issue is with the Mission Accomplished I told you so flag planters. And there are plenty of them. Just read.

As to the "meh" thing, my impression has always been that it's just an expression that he's just not exciting in any way
