Pete Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Great stuff! Thanks for reporting. QB, TE, CB, WR, and LB will be interesting when the turk rolls through on the 4th
Astrobot Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) Tyrod IMO has been the most consistent and dynamic QB all training camp Our problem is that the most consistent was Cassel, the most accurate was Cassel, the oldest is Cassel; the best QBR is Manuel, the most TDs is Manuel, the most dangerous is Tyrod, and the one Rex and fans like is Tyrod. So that deep throw to Goodwin was a good throw. Tyrod Taylor for President. Thanks for your camp observations. Yes, the Goodwin pass was right on the money. Great stuff! Thanks for reporting. QB, TE, CB, WR, and LB will be interesting when the turk rolls through on the 4th The only bad thing is the Turk rolls through on my wife's birthday. Trying to get one of them to change dates. My guess as to what happens: QB- (3) Taylor starts Game 1 vs Colts, also keep Manuel, Cassel (Simms PS) RB/FB (5) McCoy, Jackson, Felton, Dixon, Karlos W. (Brown traded/cut) Unless Karlos goes to NFI or PUP TE: (5) Clay, Gragg, Gray, Mulligan, OLeary WR (6) Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Deonte Thompson, Easley, Thigpen (Andre Davis, Dez Lewis PS; Hogan Traded/Cut) LBs (6) Bradham, Brown, Lawson, Randell Johnson, Tony Steward (ILB/Mike), IK Enemkpali (Edge), ( Ladler PS) CB/S (10) Gilmore, Robey, Darby, Brooks, Butler, A. Williams, D. Williams, Graham, Rambo (Meeks or Cockrell Cut) O Line (7) Wood, Incognito, Miller, Henderson, Kouandjio, Urbik, Glenn. (Chandler PS, Richardson Cut) D Line (8) M. Williams, Kyle Williams, Jerry Hughes, Dareus, Alex Carrington, Red Bryant, Corbin Bryant, Stefan Charles (Reed PS) Specialists: (3) Sanborn, Carpenter, Schmidt McKelvin PUP List PS: Cierre Wood RB Gaines LB Noel CB Andrew Hudson DE Ladler S Justin Hamilton DT Simms QB Andre Davis WR Dez Lewis WR O'Leary TE Cuts: Bronson Hill RB, Ricky Seale RB, Lankster CB, Groves LB, Buchanan DE, Kupper OG/OC, Campbell OG, Richardson OG, BJ Larsen DE, Fluellen DT, Tobais Palmer WR, Willis Austin WR, M Goodwin WR Edited August 26, 2015 by Astrobot
34-78-83 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I presume (since you have a great eye seemingly otherwise) that the comment on the Goodwin throw was Sarcasm? It was a horrible underthrown pass. Should Goodwin have caught it? Yes ... but still. And I thought TT was most consistent today. Just not on that throw yikes.!

BuffaloBill Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Thanks Astro and I disagree on the Cassell call. I think Tyrod starts they keep 3 QB's on the roster and Cassell becomes the safe fallback choice if Tyrod stumbles.
Beerball Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Thank you 'stro! Really appreciate reading your reports. Here's to hoping that we won't be thinking about the 2016 draft until after the new year.

I think Tyrod starts they keep 3 QB's on the roster and Cassell becomes the safe fallback choice if Tyrod stumbles. I hope you're right by Game 1. I think our only hope is that Cassell and EJ are underwhelming enough in last 2 preseasons for the Bills staff to listen to Rex. Thank you 'stro! Really appreciate reading your reports. Here's to hoping that we won't be thinking about the 2016 draft until after the new year. No worries. I will worry enough about the 2016 draft for everyone else. It's my job as Bills Draft Droid. I think O'Leary goes to practic squad and we keep Thigpen Yeah, I just noticed I have O'Leary making the 53 and being on the PS. I think they are not going to keep O'Leary if he goes to PS, so they keep 5 TEs. Thigpen is outplaying Goodwin on ST, and is more versatile (emergency RB, for example).

17 Josh Allen Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Astro you bleed buffalo blue. I want to thank you for your great reports. I take a lot of stuff on here with a grain of salt but when I read your stuff I believe that what you say is true and not swayed by your bias. Have a great season and let's hope are Bills are in the playoffs and in Super Bowl 25
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 DOOMED!!! oh wait wrong thread! Thanks Astro
34-78-83 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 So it was not a good throw? Gosh, this one throw is going to keep me awake tonight. Haha don't let that happen either way. But yeah not a good throw. The only one who throws a consistently good long ball that you can bank on is EJ. Unfortunately other areas of his game arent quite there yet consistency-wise. It was catchable atleast.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Thanks. Can't see keeping five tight ends; another wideout perhaps.
BetterNextYearRight? Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Thanks for the TC notes this year Astro! Highly recommend them to people at work who wanna know whats going on. Really hope D.Thompson makes the team, think he might have a chance to be a real good player. TE cuts will be interesting to see, been keeping an eye on M.Gray since his junior year at Minn. Easy guy to root for
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Awesome job Love "the Turk" reference
Utah John Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 One difference between this year and others is that there's no anticipation of picking up players cut by other teams. The Bills could go with the 53 listed here, plus or minus here or there, and have a very good squad overall, with some really strong positions. It's possible that a player cut elsewhere could catch on here, but it seems unlikely.

Easy guy to root for I've become an unapologetic Gray fan. I think this will be a defining year for him. I love his background, and versatility. His reported weakness last year was his blocking ability. That seems to have improved significantly this TC. My one complaint in the few plays he had for us last year was that I thought he ran a bit like a quarterback (which he used to be). He was still better than Chandler after the catch. With his reported athleticism, if he really starts to fight for YAC, he could be an absolute stud TE, imo. It's possible that a player cut elsewhere could catch on here, but it seems unlikely. I keep quietly hoping we start to trade some of these guys, especially WRs, and accumulating some late round picks for the '16 draft. There are some teams with real need at WR, and I think there will be some competition for some of our cuts.
