@Andy_Benoit: #Bills Notes: In going through 14 film notes, apparent BUF could have made playoffs if Orton had been steadier down stretch.

Very astute....Again, NSS!

I love MMQB but I think Benoit is their weakest writer. Not impressed with this 'analysis', which appears to have been done based on about five minutes of work...

@Andy_Benoit: #Bills Notes: Bills front 7 better suited for a 4-3 than a 3-4. Will Ryan make adjustments?

Omg - this dude. Where is the analysis of what they have said and done since OTAs? Plenty of 4-3 looks and everything else under the sun.

Man, what a horrible format for this kind of thing.

Really horrible. But we apparently have no need for detailed observations.

@Andy_Benoit: #Bills Notes: Dont understand why Whaley drafted CB Darby in Round 2. CB was teams strongest position already.

I agree. We needed a starter on the DLine in round 2.

it feels like these notes are from pre-OTAs and he's just now dusting them off and assuming they are all still relevant

Ummm... He's starting. ;)

That's just a ridiculous statement if he is writing about the Bills right now.

And CB was stronger than DL?

@Andy_Benoit: #Bills Notes: WR Woods sensational short area quickness, effective on shallow routes. Can be a 1,000-yd No. 2 WR in right circumstance.

Could we get a 1st for him, then?

Yeah, that was somewhat of a lazy or ill-informed comment by Benoit.

I think most of what's written is lazy or ill-informed. Doesn't seem like the staff is so down on Manuel now and his ball placement/pocket presence has been better.

There are a few teams that need great WR. Maybe we could make a three team trade and get two firsts. And I know this may be pie in the sky kind of thinking, and I know four team trades rarely happen in the NFL, but Woods is really good, so maybe we could make a four team trade and get three firsts. Then we could trade those three firsts for the number one overall and finally get our franchise QB.

Did he not "observe" that Darby is currently starting?

and missed that Graham was moved to safety

@Andy_Benoit: #Bills Notes: Gilmore will be viewed as a top-5 CB by end of season. Maybe even top 3.
