apuszczalowski Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 My bad, I forgot about the media being in on it. What I saw at SJF must have been some kind of alternative reality. Is the real team even there this summer, or all we all being fooled? Because I could have sworn I didn't see EJ getting first team reps. Now I believe this might be an incredible conspiracy.fake team, what you saw was a group of actors out on the practice field made to look like the Bills team. The real team is practicing in training camp held at area 51 in Roswell. Elvis is helping coach the scout team, sasquaych is helping with the linebackers and the aliens are working with Roman plan the offence Unfortunately, Rex may have blown the cover. Now that everyone knows his acting ability and his connections in Hollywood from the thrilling Maddon 16 movie this plan may be foiled all because of those damn kids.... (who enjoy Maddon video games)
Utah John Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The question I have is, do you think the Colts will prepare differently for any of our QBs? None of them are really unique threats. Taylor runs better than the others but not better than others in the league. So, why bother trying to deceive the Colts?
3rdand12 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I think the local media is just plain stupid when it comes to EJ Manuel. As for Rex, I think he is using Manuel's good performances as a smokescreen for the Colts game. I'm sure that Rex and Roman very much like what EJ's doing but I get the feeling they want to sit him longer because they are worried he's not quite ready yet. They don't want to rush him into action when they don't have to. That's the sense I'm getting. Damn Man. Thats some decent insight! Mostly because it matches up with my own conspiratorial thinking. But for sure the Rex Bills era has a smoke machine running ! I think it is more likely that EJ is being handled the way he was envisioned to be when they drafted him. I agree with 1billsfan ( I need more sleep). I'm a Hater, but EJ is ever so slowly not sucking. Perhaps Year 4?? What! you are tired brother? so very unlike you

Taylor runs better than the others but not better than others in the league. So, why bother trying to deceive the Colts? I actually think that Taylor is the fastest QB in the league, so yes, there is a trait there that the other QBs don't have. Damn Man. Thats some decent insight! Mostly because it matches up with my own conspiratorial thinking. But for sure the Rex Bills era has a smoke machine running ! VanCity Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Bah gawd king that's ej Manuel's music! Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DJasper Probincrux III Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I fully believe that coaches try to get into players heads. If you think EJ is your most talented option but know he needs to improve a bunch fundamentally what better to motivate EJ and make him work for the job than sticking him 3rd string? If he puts in the work and makes the improvements he needs to make he earns the job. If he doesn't then you don't have the seismic upheaval during PS of benching EJ at that point. There's something to be said for seeing how someone reacts when they are tested and made to earn their spot. EJ's been the hands down starter on his team basically since Pop Warner.
3rdand12 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Shape shifter's aren't real, but it could totally be a Scooby Doo-like mask. Has anyone ever actually SEEN TT and EJ together? I'd love know how EJ makes himself so short..... yes we are. ask yourself the question how TT makes himself so tall?? Edited August 23, 2015 by 3rdand12
3rdand12 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 My theory (a lot more plausible) - Doug Whaley sits in a interview and explains that the bills will be too good to be able to get into the blue chip rounds to select a qb - The coaches get to camp and they realize that EJ manuel actually has talent.....but that he has been coached like crap - EJ is in the middle of a cheap 5 year rookie contract - The bills realize that with every passing day this 3 way qb competition takes away needed reps from whoever is going to be the starter - EJ gets moved to 3rd team......a position that is reserved for a developmental qb.....so that they can get the reps to TT and Cassel - EJ gets lots of pre season playing time in preseason........but in a way that gets TT time with the starters MY THEORY is they will NOT draft a QB with their 1st round pick next year (which I thought they were going to do....but I also thought EJ would have been traded at this point....he looks pretty good in pre season.....QBs are hard to come by) EJ MANUEL is STILL THE FUTURE of the team.......he will continue to work on his game and under these coaches.....and NEXT YEAR will make a strong push to be the starter. Cassell is on a one year contract.....TT is gonna get his chance to prove that he can be the starter....... TT to start.....Cassell in the bullpen.....EJ Manuel the future We are not going to be able to sign all of these high priced free agents.......they are going to need to replace one of them (Bradham would be my guess) Nutso !
FluffHead Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The problem with the theory is that EJ Manuel can't throw the football very well

Taylor runs better than the others but not better than others in the league. So, why bother trying to deceive the Colts? Thats exactly why deception is crucial. you stumbled upon it but the answer is clear now isn't it ? The problem with the theory is that EJ Manuel can't throw the football very well so it seems. you are not very good with deception are you Mr Irsay? I dont expect EJ to start. I hope he gets the #2 call but i am fine with him being # 3. he has a way to go yet. Also i am hopeful all three are retained and all three improve over time and experience in Romans Offense. I think its a fine theory. Go Bills!
LB3 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 ALA Mighty Ducks 2 when Gordon Bombay puts Fulton Reed in for Goldberg at goalie and fires a 3/4 ice shot in the upper 90. "THE GOALIE!!!!!"~ Wolf "the dentist" Stanton Ahem...it was Russ Tyler, not Fulton Reed. "It's knucklepuck time!"
Buffaloed in Pa Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The problem with the theory is that EJ Manuel can't throw the football very well ???? Now

All because you put a statement in a forum to be funny, but everything that was said ends up being spot on.....That in turn makes the government think that you know way too much. Hence, you have to be taken out. I hope your egress plan is good!

RevWarRifleman Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 So, as I've sat back and lurked behind the scenes, reading all the posts about the QB position and who will be there starter, I noticed a trend. Or what I believe to be a trend though they may be more anecdotal, I don't know, you tell me. It sounds like, on several days and evenings out, people who have attended the practices were seeing a different story compared to what the media was putting out. EJ was playing better than what he had been portrayed by the media. EJ plays well during the scrimmage but he doesn't get a start and he starts to play more with the 2nd and 3rd's even as Rex says he played great during the scrimmage. WHAT IF, EJ is the guy all along and Rex has asked the media to be in cahoots with him and put out propaganda pieces to make it seem like EJ stinks? WHAT IF, once they get back to Ralph Wilson stadium (correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there less media access to practices at the Ralph?) EJ starts to become the #1 QB and practices with the 1's exclusively? WHAT IF, this is just a mind game for the Colts and the NFL? I know, I know, Mind = Blown. You're welcome. Carry on. An entertaining post, Ham. But I think you're way over-thinking it.
#34fan Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Nice thought... But if Rex was that smart, he'd still be coaching the Jets.... EJ is no brainiac either. One of the major downfalls of EJ's career was coming in contact with fellow mental midgets Hackett and Marrone... He literally didn't get a chance to become what he could have been... I suppose it's unfair to call EJ dumb... EJ was more like a BLANK SLATE with the potential to be filled-up with all sorts of good stuff... As long as someone reasonably smart was holding the chalk, EJ had a chance... Fast forward to now.... EJ is once again a blank slate... A little dirty from all the bad chalk that had to be erased, but nonetheless EMPTY.. Years have passed with no progress (through no fault of his own.) The question now, is whether to continue, or abandon the project altogether... Possibly giving EJ the fresh start he deserves.... I can see myself backing this option... I think KC would make an excellent trade partner for this venture... They need help at WR... We definitely need help at QB... EJ plus a wideout (Goodwin or Hogan) for Chase Daniel would be an awesome deal for both parties.... That's just a rough cut... Not sure what that would entail, but I tink it'd be great for EJ to be around one of the sharpest minds in the game (Andy Reid), and I think Daniel's arm is underrated at this point in his career.... That's the pistol... there's a full clip inside, and one in the chamber.... Just needs a finger to go ahead and squeeze. -Any takers? Edited August 23, 2015 by #34fan
John from Riverside Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 The problem with the theory is that EJ Manuel can't throw the football very well Except.....he is Keep in mind that His protection is not as good He is attempting deeper throws (and putting them on the money)
