Kelly the Dog Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Tyler Dunne does a pretty decent job with these things. I like finding out about these guys' lives off the field. Butler has had a good camp and probably makes the team. His dad was murdered, sliced up, and put in a locked refrigerator when Mario was 10 and his family never found out anything about the murder. Good read. Wish the guy well. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/08/22/bills-butler-finds-faith-in-forgiveness/
Bookie Man Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Pulling for the guy. Seems to have had a decent camp.
FluffHead Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) I worked for a while at the high school he went to, although long after he was there. The neighborhood he grew up in, obviously, is a place no one should ever want to be. He traveled a good 40 minutes to go to a high school in a better area. Edited August 23, 2015 by FluffHead
BuffaninATL Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 hope he makes it. We need character guys like this ...... it was a tough read on a Sunday morning, but uplifting at the same time
Big C Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Dunne is getting some meaty pieces done, isn't he? I like him. I also like Butler. He seems to have played his way into the roster and I hope he has a great season!
Peter Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Tyler is an example of a great sports writer. Sully . . . not so much. This article also shows some of difficult circumstances that some of these guys face growing up -- circumstances that many of us who post here never have had to face.

Dunne is an actual human being. and a gosh darned fine breath of fresh air. Rex spoke highly of Butler more than once. with Leo out we should keep him on board. And wow thats another crazy story about a difficult upbringing turned around. Very proud of Butler!!
