26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @SalSports Tyrod Taylor has been very sharp in 7-on-7. EJ with a terrific pass to back corner of end zone for TD to MarQueis Gray in 7-7 red zone. Only spot Gray (and no DB) could get it.
Matt in KC Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 @TyDunne Marquise Goodwin is practicing without any problems. Looks quick. Hurt his ankle in Thursday's game and returned. He's a highly-tuned machine, cautious whenever he gets dinged. He said he could have played most of the games last year when Maron kept him out. Against the Browns he just went and got his ankle taped and went right back in, and looked good. I love what they are doing with the QB competition. I don't claim to understand it really, but it seems to be working!

Fan in Chicago Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 @SalSports EJ Manuel also getting reps with the first team offense. He's the third QB in, but all have. @mikerodak EJ Manuel now getting reps with first team in 11-on-11 scout team period. So sequence is Cassel-Taylor-Cassel-Manuel @JoeBuscaglia Scout team portion is over. "Series" count with first-team offense: Cassel had 2, Taylor had 2, Manuel had 1. #Bills @TyDunne Marquise Goodwin is practicing without any problems. Looks quick. Hurt his ankle in Thursday's game and returned. I thought last week Ryan had said he doesn't expect EJ to see first team reps again. Am I missing something
Matt in KC Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I thought last week Ryan had said he doesn't expect EJ to see first team reps again. Am I missing something Did you watch the Cleveland game?
26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @mikerodak Tyrod Taylor taking first reps of final 11-on-11 period.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Rex may very well carry three quarterbacks, as he suggested. What team was it many years ago that rotated three quarterbacks through regular season games, depending on the situation and their skill sets? Not proposing it; just curious.

Am I missing something I believe I heard he wasn't answering that and not painting himself into a corner Edited August 22, 2015 by over 20 years of fanhood
Fan in Chicago Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Did you watch the Cleveland game? Yes pretty much all of it. Why?
26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @TyDunne Goodwin extends for a catch deep from Matt Cassel. Like Mulligan, he seems to be in good shape for the 53. Probably the No. 4 right now.
The Wiz Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I believe I heard he wasn't answering that and not painting himself into a cornerYea. He said he would some time with the twos was all he said leading up to the game.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @JoeBuscaglia Matt Cassel getting first team reps right after Taylor #Bills Manuel now getting first team reps too.
LB3 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 (edited) I'm really liking that it sounds like all 3 QB's are stepping their game up. Someone will win by outplaying the others, not just be handed the job because they're the least terrible. Edited August 22, 2015 by LBSeeBallLBGetBall
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I'm really liking that it sounds like all 3 QB's are stepping their game up. Someone will win by outplaying the others, not just be handed the job because they're the least terrible. Someone said it before, all 3 guys are making nice throws. What a difference good coaching can make. All three of these guys sound like they are effective. Certainly not a bad thing.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @JoeBuscaglia Looks like this practice is going at about 75% speed. Very walk through-ish. #Bills @MatthewFairburn Mario Williams just took a rep against Tyson Chandler in 11-on-11. I'll give you all one guess as to how that went for young Mr. Chandler. @SalSports Chris Gragg has put together a really nice last 2 weeks. Solid again today. I wonder if Nick O'Leary could be odd-man out at TE. Tough calls @JoeBuscaglia Newly signed DL Red Bryant was in for a first team rep today in team drills. Lined up at LDE. #Bills
Matt in KC Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Yes pretty much all of it. Why? The Cleveland game was my answer to your question. I assume he said that beforehand since I haven't heard him say that after.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @TyDunne There's a play of the day. CB Mario Butler breaks on the ball, it pops straight up and ILB Preston Brown is there for the interception.
BreezeMafia Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I thought last week Ryan had said he doesn't expect EJ to see first team reps again. Am I missing something Yea.....the smokescreen.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 @mikerodak This practice has devolved into Matt Simms throwing interceptions against the first-team defense. @TyDunne Not a high-energy practice here today. Plenty of walkthrough, scout team. One fan shouts: "Throw the deep ball! I drove from Buffalo!"

Gotta give up those "hop dreams" and become the football player that he has the talent to be. They thought they were getting their Mike Wallace when they picked him. Mike Wallace got paid. Go get it Glass. Gorilla Glass, that is.
