Im not sure, say they keep 5, I go.

Woods, Watkins, Harvin, Easley, Davis

There is no way they only keep 5 when one of them is Easley who has shown zero ability as a receiver and another is an undrafted rookie who has caught 2 balls so far in pre-season. That would be negligent in the extreme.

I still believe the receivers will be:

Watkins

Woods

Harvin

Hogan

Easley

A.N. Other (and I still believe that is between Goodwin and Thompson)

Per Buffalo Rumblings:

Cuts (35): QB Matt Simms, RB Bryce Brown, RB Bronson Hill, RB Ricky Seale, RB Cierre Wood, FB John Conner, WR Chris Hogan, WR Andre Davis, WR Marcus Thigpen, WR Dezmin Lewis, WR Tobais Palmer, TE Chris Gragg, TE Nick O'Leary, OT Darryl Johnson, OT Tyson Chandler, OT Terren Jones, OG William Campbell, OG Alex Kupper, OG D.J. Morrell, DL Alex Carrington, DL Andre Fluellen, DL Jeremy Towns, DL Justin Hamilton, ER Cedric Reed, ER Andrew Hudson, ER B.J. Larsen, LB A.J. Tarpley, LB Jimmy Gaines, CB Ross Cockrell, CB Merrill Noel, CB Cam Thomas, S Jonathan Meeks, S Kenny Ladler, S Wes Miller

I agree, mostly.

Ok I think they keep Hogan and one of Goodwin or Thompson is cut.

I certainly hope they keep Gragg and cut Gray (think this is 50/50 but if you are keeping Mulligan as a specialist blocker then I think you keep the best receiving TE you have after Clay... that is Gragg without any doubt for me).

I think they might end up keeping Cedric Reed over Buchanon who has shown zero so far.

Then I also think Lankaster doesn't make the roster (Carrington the likely beneficiary) or if he does is the week 2 cut to activate Dareus.

That's tough for me. I'd rather keep one less TE, DE, or OL. I know that is a BS answer (in that I didn't answer the question). Both guys help a team built to play good defense and ball control.

The only OL worth keeping to me are Glenn, Incognito, Wood, Miller, Henderson, Urbik and Henderson. Then I look over the waiver wire to find a seasoned vet or two. I'm also think we look hard at cut TEs, as I only like Clay. The rest of the group is meh. Gragg stepped up in the final drive but man not sure I am sold on his as anything more than a number 3. I might eye the 49ers in part for the Roman connection and they have a ton of TEs on their roster and maybe we can look at former 49er current Patriot Asante Cleveland.

Keep Gragg not Gray. At least one of the rookie WRs to PS. What about Simms; does he have enough upside for PS?

With Practice Squads still being 10 vs 8 players Simms has a good chance.

Megahand can't get cut!!!

I like Carrington as much as the next guy but he might be in a numbers game as if he's regulated to play DT he might be behind Dareus, K Williams, C Bryant, Charles and R B ryant. Now if he's at DE he has a better chance as see some play as think M Williams, Hughes are the only givens.

Hmmmm...

Chris Hogan goes on IR. Harvin goes Pup or whatever allows him back on the team but does not count against the roster.

You should be able to trade Brown and maybe even Conner.

I like Thigpen but that might be indulgent.

QUITE a few can make it to PS but may get picked up and quite few should just go away. and i hope Whaleys Gang is watching the wire

Why Carrington, because he has not been available ?

He can play multiple techniques. I think Bryant and Rexys coaching preferences will be in play here if he cannot get on the field??

That big gut we just picked up.

oops! his name starts with an R.

The NT who plays the run and fills the gaps.

Red, I was only asking because we also have Corbin Bryant who's Kyle Williams primary backup who think might be a little better than Kyle when it comes to stopping the run. I agree Carrington offers more than Red does but thus far "Mega hand" has been quiet in part because of injuries.

Right! Hence my oops!!

Concerned Carrington will not make the roster at this point. Always liked the kid too.

The reason i mentioned Red is because Bills did not have a big ole runstuffer till him. I think Rex might like that in his arsenal. But we shall see.

Anyone see his play? or did he get on the field? i only listened to the game

He did and made a couple of nice run stops.

Thought on how he might fit in to Rex and Thurman profile?

i think they would the fat kid in the middle. or very near the center

63 Daryl Johnson is a cone. Which is insulting to the cone.

#61 Kupper and #63 Johnson were absolutely abominable. One or both was cleanly beaten on virtually every single play they were out there. And this was vs Cleveland's second team. Not good.

It may well be time to part ways with Easley, despite his special teams ability.

The thing with Easley is he almost shouldn't be listed as a receiver. He should be listed with the long snapper as a specialist gunner because he has shown zero ability to catch passes in the NFL

As of right now for me Andre Davis and Deonte Thompson in Goodwin and Hogan out.

I agree. Thompson is only 1/10th of a second slower than Goodwin, who can't stay healthy, and he's a lot bigger. Davis just looks to be much more talented than Hogan. I'd put Lewis on the practice squad. Coming from a small school the NFL stage looks to be too big for him right now (unlike Davis) but maybe he can develop once he gets acclimated. I think the Bills core WRs are good enuf to maybe roll the dice a bit with less experienced players who doubtless have a lot to learn but who seem to have raw talent and a lot of upside. And they are bargain basement too.

Remove Bryce Brown, Andre Davis, Nick O'Leary and Chris Gragg from that list and I am good.

At the expense of whom? Who do you let go to keep these guys?
