JoeF Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 On the positive side-- if he is ready to go by the regular season -- no film on how he will be used. On a related note, the most brilliant play design of the preseason game against the Panthers was the pick that freed Watkins over the middle with about 10 yards of free space around him. It was penalty call that may not be called in the regular season. I thought Sammy did a good job of running his coverage into another Panthers player..I can see Harvin running that play as well. Rex called major bull **** on the call...

JoeF Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Yeah the Davis kid is looking real good. Probably jinxed him. Ha. Really impressed by him...He looks bigger than the 6-1, 211 in program...He also has a receiver's instinct -- makes himself a target even when he is covered and wins the vast majority of contested throws.

Looks smoother than the stiff Hogan.
jwhit34 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Harvin is a known commodity, he was there for the OTAs and practices up until last week right before the preseason game. If Kyle Orton can come in cold a week before the season and start the last 12 games at QB I am sure that this coaching staff has a firm handle on what Percy Harvin can do and will develop the necessary chemistry with the offense.

Buffaloed in Pa Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 thank you! Staying healthy has always been his problem. He has to stay healthy.
Dorkington Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I'm not an expert, but I feel like athletes that do these things have chronic injury problems and are basically doing this out of desperation. Considering his health issues, I don't expect him to play more than 5 games this year. Hopefully he performs during them. :/
Webster Guy Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Little dudes are almost always hurt in the NFL. This is why Goodwin will stay on. Between the two of them they make one normal player, which ensures we will have one burner always ready to go each week.
