NishP Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Not sure if this was posed, if so just delete. Browns Rookie DL Danny Shelton Overpowers Bills OL in Practice, Lets out Roar | Bleacher Report (via http://ble.ac/teamstream-)http://teamstre.am/1fp78kR
RyanTalbotBills Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Wood had a rough season in 2014. This is just one play (not to mention that Danny Shelton is a great player) but if Wood struggles this season, the Bills need to consider drafting a center in 2016.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Danny Shelton is going to make quite a few NFL Centers look bad. His combination of pure power and quickness is going to command double teams and will make the Browns' D very formidable.

Johnny Hammersticks Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I was reading a Browns message board today, and one of the local Cleveland journalists was writing about how Shelton "completely dominated" Richie Incognito
billsfan89 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I had Shelton as the best defensive player in the draft. So I am not shocked that he got the best of Wood on a play, However Wood needs to progress, Incog looks like a capable guard, Miller and Cyrus seem to be progressing into solid players and Glenn is what we thought he was going to be. Wood needs to step it up a bit.
YoloinOhio Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I'm just trying to ignore this for my personal sanity. mmmmkay
Deranged Rhino Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Wood was poor both Marrone years. Shocking considering the scheme they were running and the fact he had a walking hemorrhoid trying to play RG next to him. We'll see how he looks this season.
John from Riverside Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I hate to be the voice of sanity here They are doing a one on one drill.....in which Wood is matched against a player about what....40 pounds heavier then him? There was no QB.....so Shelton just drove Wood straight back.....who while he lost leverage did not lose his feet.... Wood lost the physical battle.....he also never became disengaged with Shelton the entire time And he didnt fall down.....
johnwalter Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 regardless of what the specifics of the drill are, etc: one is a good player, one is a bad player - simple as that.
sjjr Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Well Wood is an average NFL Center and Shelton is already an above average run stuffing nose tackle that probably will develop into one of the best in the league at his position. Everytime Wood has faced a top 10 defensive tackle in the last few seasons, he's looked bad. Get ready to see Suh wreak havoc twice this season but at least Wilfork won't do it anymore. The Bills need to look to upgrade here at some point.
swimtoga Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Is it me or did Wood do his job? At this level your not pancaking d-line men every play. Wood had him engaged and the play went right by Shelton. I would be more worried if he shed Wood right off and made a play.
John Cocktosten Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Another Buffalo Bills player who's been vastly overrated by the fan base for years.
BillsVet Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Wood's under contract through 2017 at an average of 6M+ per. That's a lot of money for a center who admitted at the end of last season he didn't play well.
KentHull Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Another Buffalo Bills player who's been vastly overrated by the fan base for years. Unless you figure in the crap center's we had prior to Wood. He looks like a hall of famer compared to that group.

No it is me too, Eric just gets a bad name on the board because he isn't Andy Levitry (damn I know I spelled that wrong but I forget) and the Bills didn't lose him. If he was on another team he'd be a god. The play I assume would have gone past (it is a drill so who knows) but he wasn't really beat. And yea that Shelton kid is for real Eric won't be the only one he beats this year. Looks like a young version of Meatball to me, comes off the ball like a cannon.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 @Browns "Man, he’s a big guy." Danny Shelton made quite an impression on the Bills OL. STORY → http://bit.ly/Shelton0818
