DJasper Probincrux III Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 NJ is easily $.30 cheaper per gallon than the other side of the delaware river in PA. NJ has the lowest fuel taxes in the country. They also have a bankrupt highway and bridge fund.
plenzmd1 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 NJ has the lowest fuel taxes in the country. They also have a bankrupt highway and bridge fund. Not to turn this all PPP, but in VA our Governor wants to go to zero on gas tax and fund road and bridges etc through higher registration fees or other methods. His reasoning is with growing number of hybrids and electric cars, these guys are not paying their fair share of maintaining the roads etc. Kinda makes sense to me.
Helpmenow Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 New Jersey southern portion of the state has some of the worst roads as well

CountryCletus Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 New Jersey southern portion of the state has some of the worst roads as well As well as some of the worst drivers...
Gugny Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 As well as some of the worst drivers... I actually think NJ drivers are among the best. Vermont ... BY FAR ... the worst. And I don't know why, but in the last month or so, I've seen a lot of Pennsylvania drivers on I-87. They are very, very close to being as bad as the Vermonters. Middle laners.

Our roads suck!! http://www.tripnet.org/docs/Urban_Roads_National_TRIP_Release_07-23-15.php BUT we are going "green." Land of good intentions, unintended consequences. Maybe somebody forgot that roads and bridges were tied into MPG. There has got be a metric/number our there for MPG and quality roads & bridges. I don't think it is 50 mpg. LMAO
