You have to factor in pads, water intake and field temp. When the sun beats down on that field the heat rises similar to asphalt. Heat exhaustion is usually a build up of a period of time.

It felt WAY hotter than 83-85 out there today, and that was in the shade with no pads on. In the sun, out on the field, in pads, it was easily 90-100. that sun was scorching today, and there was zero wind.

Just got back in from today's practice.

All of the tweets/posts/memes/reports about Justin Gilbert still don't give a fair picture of how bad he was. It was noticeable right from the bat when it was just our WRs working against their DBs in easy-going 1-on-1 drills with no QB. By the time they moved to team practices, we were all laughing and yelling "pick on 21!", and Cassel was smart enough to find him and exploit him a few times.

WRT the Bills... We stayed on the Offensive side since we already know what we have on Defense and arent worried about it. The OLine had a bit of a rough outing, but I expect the DL to have the advantage in these types of practices. Wasn't very impressed with Tyrod working with the 1s, not many throws downfield, but it's his first day with the group. Cassel is Cassel, not a bad idea to keep him around for a vet backup. EJ could be the best of the bunch, but it seems like it still isnt clicking at 100%. He's always a half-beat behind from when he should've thrown it. He had some nice throws, and no real bad throws. But it seems like he makes his choice, and instead of throwing it to a spot as the WR comes open, he instead hesitates and waits to make sure the guy is really going to be open, and then throws it to the open WR. Dude just needs to rip it. Speaking of WRs, Robert Woods is the man.

Sucks to hear about Powell, time to bring back Spikes! (Who most likely wont be suspended until next season)

From reports I've heard, TT's been working with the ones quite a bit so far. Which makes today very disappointing.

More bad news for EJ, Cassel wins the day, & a brutal performance by a former top-10 pick. My observations from today http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/7-bills-training-camp-observations-day-13

Joe B, demonstrating that EJ must have banged his girl, or his sister. No Joe, today was good news for EJ, at least as far as sticking on the roster goes.

Must just be envious that EJ was able to graduate from the same place Joe got bounced out of.

I hope they keep Sammy out tomorrow. Could be some chippy **** coming down and he's too valuable to lose in TC to a pizzed off toasted DB.

I agree...after all of the reports about how the Bills' WRs abused the Browns' secondary I could see them coming out a little overly aggressive.

Overly aggressive might favor Tyrod's game (and our run game as a whole). Typically the contain game is more patience than aggression.

I didn't grow up in a Bills household even though we lived in Cheektowaga. My parents and older brothers just didn't care for football.

The first football game I ever watched was a come-from-behind upset victory for the Browns over the Cowboys.

I've been somewhat of a Browns fan ever since - though I never got attached to the new incarnation of the Browns since the old Browns packed up the moving vans.

I hope the Bills embarrass the Browns with superior talent and toughness during these joint practices.

You mean, that you're still employed as a sports "expert" by a local media outlet, and still allowed to write your reports with whatever bias you wish to infuse into them?

I can't make up my mind if going against the browns on the short week hurts or favors Tyrod. Can't wait till the game. And I'm still excited by Cassel's repeated success. Whether he wins it outright or not I think we have a basic-level-of-adequacy QB. A ringing endorsement, I know.
