John Gianelli Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Should the NFL start placing the players' names below the numbers, as they do in the WNBA?
Fadingpain Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Funny you mention this...I was observing this very idea during the Bills game. A lot of guys have the long hair now. One dude blocked out his name and most of his number on his back!
Nanker Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Better question is, will teams begin selling those players jerseys with a dreadlocks snap-on accessory? You know, it wouldn't be a true "replethentic" without them.

White Linen Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I'd say no about the jersey part but I'd think the long hair has to effect your play.
BuffaloFan68 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I say no to the names being moved but also feel that the players should be cutting or tucking their hair.
T master Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I could live with it ! And the announcers probably wouldn't mind either !!

Nanker Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 no players need to start yanking those long hairs down on tackling and blocking I do believe that is legal thanks to the "Burn-out Ricky Williams" rule.
bigdogtim Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Put down your beer and back away slowly. The season starts soon it will be ok
NoSaint Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I find I'm quite alright not immediately knowing the name on every play.
Bad Things Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 No to the nameplate changing, but I also noticed how many players have long braids/dreads. I would love to see more tackles by the hair, like how Bradham tackled Ivory (NY Jets) last year. That was awesome!
ExWNYer Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Should the NFL start placing the players' names below the numbers, as they do in the WNBA? No. The WNBA is bush league...
reddogblitz Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 If their hair is long, yes. Short hair guys leave it on top.
