Pete Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 no way do we keep 4 TEs and cut a a talented player for that 4th TD
Vinaccia Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Holy flippin paper sheets man, O'Leary looked terrible! I thought he was a steal of a pick in the later rounds and was going to emerge as an elite TE, and I am seriously doubting that he can make the roster now.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 O'Leary was supposed to be so sure handed! But odd no mention of Mulligan. Maybe O'Leary should try wearing gloves CBF
YoloinOhio Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 John Murphy just said mulligan is the leader in the clubhouse at TE once you get past clay and gray. Shoot me now.
GunnerBill Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 And CB said on his fan friday post on BB.com that Scott Chandler didn't fit into the new offensive scheme ? I would rather have him out there in that situation than some that are on this squad !! Chandler was cut for cap reasons that much is obvious.
DC Greg Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Flashback to last year Ugh please god no. No more trying to be the trickiest trickster and get the ball to a lee smith or some other milktoast TE. Don't out think yourselves coaches! Get the ball to real playmakers. There are quite a few of them in the WR corps.
BuffaloSol Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Chandler was cut for cap reasons that much is obvious.Yeah, but why not re-sign him? We took a step back he was a solid number two TE. Also, we all know he is going to score like 5 tds against us this year.

CSBill Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Chandler was never fully appreciated, he would have been a perfect compliment to Clay. Oh well TBD posters, be careful, sometimes you get what you ask for.
YoloinOhio Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) Chandler was never fully appreciated, he would have been a perfect compliment to Clay. Oh well TBD posters, be careful, sometimes you get what you ask for. i really, really like Chandler. But he's the perfect complement to Gronk, not Clay. Hes a pass catching TE. He doesn't block well and therefore he doesn't fit what roman needs from a TE. It is system specific as to why certain guys are cut and others signed. That said I think he was fully appreciated when he was here. At least from my standpoint. I would have loved for him to stay but I thought it was kind of obvious why they moved on. eball Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I can't believe how much Bills fans overhype the value Chandler brought to this team. Hard worker, great guy, good pass catcher -- he's all of that. Good blocker, dynamic playmaker, difference maker -- not so much. We'll always have the snow shovel TD celebration, Scott...
flmike Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Hmm. ALL the TEs looked bad? What's the common factor here.... Oh yeah, we don't have a freaking QB.
YoloinOhio Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Hmm. ALL the TEs looked bad? What's the common factor here.... Oh yeah, we don't have a freaking QB.no, not all. Two of them.
BuffaloSol Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Why would he re-sign for us after we cut him? It happens just not that often. It is just a frustrating scenario, both sides are usually to stubborn. I wouldn't mind chandler being gone if we brought a solid pass catching red zone threat to camp.

He was a difference maker for this team last year. No question. Some huge catches in traffic to keep games alive. Big target, great hands, fearless. Our best receiver in some games. Def not a Roman TE though. Too bad he had to go to the Patsies because now I loathe him.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I think O'Leary better try wearing gloves tomorrow night Might help him actually catch the ball CBF

I don't consider any part of that anemic offense from last year to be relevant to the discussion of Chandler's value. Like I said he's a decent player, but he's not a game changer.
BuffaloSol Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 clay?Yeah, Clay is an all around guy though. I think chandler is a good number 2 receiving threat TE, and that is where I was going with it.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Hmm. ALL the TEs looked bad? What's the common factor here.... Oh yeah, we don't have a freaking QB. Sorry, Mike, the Rex call-out was the TE didn't haul in catchable passes or had drops even. I don't care who the QB is, if your job involves receptions ya gotta catch what hits ya in the hands.
