unbillievable Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I was forced to use my phone's internet to find out why Windows 10 killed my desktop wifi.
/dev/null Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I went to check today's weather on weather.com and it came up in Celsius. WTF is up with that?
Keukasmallies Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I went to check today's weather on weather.com and it came up in Celsius. WTF is up with that? Same problem here! Is it the Canadians, the British, who....? Some insidious group is out to undermine The Weather Channel.
eball Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 The housekeeper who comes to clean every two weeks won't wash any dishes in the sink.

eball Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 so put them on the floor The housekeeper? I tried to put her on the floor, but she just suggested I should sign up with Ashley Madison instead.

IDBillzFan Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 LET ME BE DEAF DAMMIT. I DONT CARE I DONT CARE. You will be made to care.
Clippers of Nfl Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 You will be made to care. They will have hearing aids in the future. Right now I want to listen to music as loud as possible without blood dripping from my ears.
Chef Jim Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 They will have hearing aids in the future. Right now I want to listen to music as loud as possible without blood dripping from my ears. That was me and now I have a constant ringing in my ears. My hearing has suffered for sure. I don't listen nearly as loud and as often as I used to.

ExiledInIllinois Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 The housekeeper who comes to clean every two weeks won't wash any dishes in the sink. I'd file for divorce! "Irreconcilable Differences!" :-O My bad ass sony cell phone turns the volume down automatically for me when im listening to music in my car, loud as hell. It is not all about you. :-P
Chef Jim Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Ok. I'll turn it down to 95% I would cram my ear buds in my ears to get max volume. I only listen to it loud when I play drums or go to a live show. I sometimes crank it up in the car. I have a killer system in my car.
Beerball Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I entered a pithy response to someone's post only to find out that someone beat me to it. My take was better, of course, but I still felt that I should delete it.

I sometimes crank it up in the car. I have a killer system in my car. I suddenly lost my hearing during a gig. I was singing "Where the Streets Have No Name," and it was like someone just flipped a switch. No pain. Just pure static. Then it turned into hearing all lows and no highs. Went to an ENT specialist. Gave me a steroid. No help. This was about 10 years ago. Last year I went to an audiologist to discuss getting a hearing aid. Did some tests and my damage is nerve damage. All a hearing aid would do would be to amplify the muffled crap that I hear now. So there's nothing that can be done. It sucks, but I've adjusted. Edited August 26, 2015 by Gugny

Gugny Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Whoa that sucks man. Eh. I could think of worse things to stop working. I just need to be strategic when talking to people. Like if I'm walking/talking, I need to make sure the other person is on my good ear side. Or at a dinner, I make sure that the person I'll be speaking to mostly is on my good side, and I just let the person on my bad side know that I might have to turn my head around to hear them because I don't hear well out of one ear. It could be a hell of a lot worse. I've never complained about it. The ENT and audiologist said it's not definite that the music caused the damage; which is why I've never officially quit!
