eball Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I resign myself to the fact that apparently EJ is no good, never will be, and is on his way out of Buffalo. Good guy, bad QB. Thanks, Buddy, for the draft pick on your way out. Go Tyrod.
YoloinOhio Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) I think he will get a chance with another team as a backup. Good luck EJ3. Edited August 14, 2015 by YoloinOhio
YoloinOhio Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) I thought it was both Buddy and Whaleys pick?of course Whaley had input. He was the director of player personnel, correct? He even confirmed that for anyone who thought he didn't have a great deal of input. Nix was the GM and made the final decision. You can blame Whaley if you want, but time to move on with the blame game IMO. Edited August 14, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I sense a sarcastic disturbance in the force.
The Wiz Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I sense a sarcastic disturbance in the force. Not really. I figured he'd wait until at least next week to give up and see what happens in the first two preseason games.
YattaOkasan Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Also surprised you gave up after a week. If hes running with the 3's all next week, I'll be jumping ship.

He basically stated the same leading up to the pick and the draft saying something like he wanted leave the Bills with their franchise QB before leaving or something like that. Bad, bad selection. Hard not to like E.J. though.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) EJ will be signed by someone the second he is cut. Some team will take a flier on him. Edited August 14, 2015 by PromoTheRobot

BarleyNY Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 If the Bills do decide to part ways with EJ, then a trade for anything would be preferable to a cut due to his contract being fully guaranteed (although it does have offsets). I don't think we are to that point yet, but we might be soon.

Thanks, Buddy, for the draft pick on your way out. Go Tyrod. Did you hold a private workout for EJ in your backyard last night?
DC Tom Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Hardly matters. This team isn't going to succeed or fail based on throwing the ball.

Thanks, Buddy, for the draft pick on your way out. Go Tyrod. Consider that draft class. Geno? Barkley? Nassib? It was the wrong year to take a QB.

Thanks, Buddy, for the draft pick on your way out. Hes a good kid that is too inaccurate and the game just has not slowed down for him as well. I dont think he gets cut imo. Lets remember hes a young kid that has 14 total games under his belt with an awful staff. His potential and low salary keeps him around. Simms to the practice squad. Go Tyrod.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Hardly matters. This team isn't going to succeed or fail based on throwing the ball. Logic has no place in this discussion.
eball Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 Hardly matters. This team isn't going to succeed or fail based on throwing the ball. True. I'm just tired of fighting city hall on this issue -- apparently the entire NFL community has decided EJ isn't worth the effort, so it's time to move on.
MDH Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Consider that draft class. Geno? Barkley? Nassib? It was the wrong year to take a QB. The draft class doesn't matter at all. Who cares how good the other guys are, all the matters is how good the guy you drafted is.
