The 22-year-old has been entrusted with a complex defense that can blitz from any angle, one with checks on checks on checks. Hes the linebacker barking orders to a $100 Million Dollar Man (Mario Williams), a soon-to-be $100 Million Dollar Man (Marcell Dareus), 10-year vet Kyle Williams, Jerry Hughes, Manny Lawson, everyone up front

I'm really excited by Brown. He's really surpassed my expectations. I think the LB corps kind of gets passed over because the D line is so good, but Brown, Bradham and even Lawson make for a pretty darn good group.

Whaley hits on LBs.

Randell Johnson appears to be getting some good reviews this training camp as well.

Randell Johnson is a personal favorite of mine....the guy is a absolute athletic freak.....another great pick by Whaley who seems to do very well in finding linebackers

David Harris frankly could not cover a lick....Preston actually has some coverage ability.

Whaley slam dunked it two years in a row at LB

John Miller ismgoing to be as well

John Miller ismgoing to be as well

Yes he is

Not to turn this into a QB thread.....but it is drafting like this that I really love Whaley.....nobody is 100 percent in drafting but more often then not Whaley gets VALUE for his picks.....

In a year where we had no 1st round pick.....and picked later in the rounds......Whaley got us Darby and Miller AND Karlos Williams

UGH. We're going to have to pay him so much in 3 years. Thanks a lot, Whaley.

LOL!

lot of comments about whaley hitting on LBs. whaley hits on defense, period. with the steelers and under buddy, whaley was primarily a defensive scout - that is his area of expertise. i remember reading that even though buddy was GM at the time, gilmore was whaley's guy.
