Kelly the Dog Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 7-11 in his own words: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/chris-hogan-bills-nickname/ Good little story. Seems like a nice guy, too.
NoSaint Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 i often joke about it in hard knocks threads, but it is a reality that opening your doors to let other coaches see a guy that is well liked, working hard and maybe a great practice squad candidate for you is a nice 6th WR or 4th back or special teams ace for them in the short term. i dont doubt that the nickname helped him get some more eyes from around the league on him.
stony Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I remember when Jeter launched the Players Tribune. A lot of people thought it wasn't a smart concept and it would be a "bust." I've read quite a few stories on it that are fantastic. Pretty cool site.

Danny Amendola is another receiver who would have to give a lot of credit to Hard Knocks for opening the door for him.
NoSaint Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Danny Amendola is another receiver who would have to give a lot of credit to Hard Knocks for opening the door for him. Lovie smith commented today that he'd be watching it. And then of course jj watt commented he learned Miamis snap counts watching it. So it seems there may be some downsides to volunteering
Wazzu Bill Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Great read. Thanks for posting! I have always felt like Hogan is an under-appreciated member of the squad. He doesn't really have that name for himself, but when it's time to hit the field he'll find a way to get things done.
