VABills Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I'm reading a lot of screens during 11 on 11 first session. EJ also took a sack. So did Taylor right before that.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 but apparently never the same Play+Formation combo, interesting I love that about Roman. Sal said they ran 20-25 plays, all screens, not one was the same as another.
metzelaars_lives Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Lots of screen play installation today, apparently. Multiple screens and handoffs from same formation. Good. I hope a lot of them are going to Sammy Watkins. Could not believe how few times we tried that last year considering how well it worked for him at Clemson.
YattaOkasan Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I love that about Roman. Sal said they ran 20-25 plays, all screens, not one was the same as another. I also am excited about all of the deception on both O and D. Heard a report the run game was going well again. But if its against the scout team then I'm not sure what to make of it.
VABills Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Screens? We haven't seen too many of them since the TT days. Nice having Mccoy who can kill you in both run and passing game. Makes play action and screens more likely.
The Wiz Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Most of the time national media guys get scoops is from the player agents who are national and not local guys, or officials of other teams who hear things or think they know things. They are not getting scoops from inside OBD that the local guys are not getting Can't you just let me take my shots at them without giving a logical reason. You use to be fun Kelly. You still are, but you use to be too.
eball Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Screens? We haven't seen too many of them since the TT days. Nice having Mccoy who can kill you in both run and passing game. Makes play action and screens more likely. McCoy, Watkins, Harvin...all of them can/should be deadly on screens.
VABills Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 McCoy, Watkins, Harvin...all of them can/should be deadly on screens. I agree. But, you need a RB who can do both phases to really make then effective. Mccoy gives us that. Now, we'd better hope he stays healthy.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 McCoy, Watkins, Harvin...all of them can/should be deadly on screens. Lee Smith, too! Oh, wait. We don't have him anymore. Damn!!
VABills Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Lee Smith, too! Oh, wait. We don't have him anymore. Damn!! Goodwin is crazy fast, need to get him running screens as well.
GG Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Lee Smith, too! Oh, wait. We don't have him anymore. Damn!! Yes we do. Lee Smith gets a Mulligan on this roster
YattaOkasan Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 McCoy, Watkins, Harvin...all of them can/should be deadly on screens. If the box is stacked a screen to the outside should be effective considering our multiple TE sets (I'm assuming they could motion to the outside/slot) and Watkins blocking ability.
Wayne Cubed Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Good. I hope a lot of them are going to Sammy Watkins. Could not believe how few times we tried that last year considering how well it worked for him at Clemson. I think they threw 2.
JESSEFEFFER Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Yes we do. Lee Smith gets a Mulligan on this roster That's quite punny!
Kelly the Dog Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I think they threw 2. Yeah. I looked up the stats last year and Watkins caught 3-4 balls on or behind the LOS. Odell Beckham caught over 20.
chris heff Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Yeah. I looked up the stats last year and Watkins caught 3-4 balls on or behind the LOS. Odell Beckham caught over 20. That's just unbelievable.
metzelaars_lives Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Can't you just let me take my shots at them without giving a logical reason. You use to be fun Kelly. You still are, but you use to be too. Is that a Mitch Hedberg reference?
The Wiz Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Is that a Mitch Hedberg reference? But of course.
rsxfirefighter Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne Charles Clay is getting more involved after a slower start. Manuel finds him for 15 against the back-ups. So if EJ is running with the 3's....why the hell we pay that much for a 3rd string TE??? Edited August 11, 2015 by rsxfirefighter
BuffaloHokie13 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Sal Capaccio @SalSports Sammy Watkins and Percy Harvin just collided across the middle. Harvin got the worst of it. Got checked out. Appears ok.
