The Poojer Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 3...Tyrod, Cassell and Simms...clearly they are ignoring the position. Um, how? He signed Kolb in the same offseason that he drafted EJ. EJ looked okay as a rookie, so they didn't draft anyone in his 2nd offseason. It can be argued that the real mistake was not signing Orton sooner, but apparently they tried to do that...that plan eventually succeeded to a degree--Orton did go 9-7. This year, they brought in 2 different QBs, one of which has starting experience, the other a unique skill set. The idea that they ignored the position for 3 offseason is completely inaccurate. You may disagree with the de facto players they brought in, but that statement is flat-out incorrect.
Hot Buffalo Wings Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Does anyone else wonder why we didn't push hard to get Carson Palmer?
Solomon Grundy Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Basically he talked about Alex Smith and how everyone thought he was a bust. He like's his QB's bigger and physical so they can do more things in the offense. It sure as hell didn't sound like he was describing Matt Cassel. Hey Wayne, if Sal, Joe B, Tyler and Fairburn listened to that interview they'd probably s**t their pants. That description wasn't a big endorsement for their boy Tyrod Taylor either Does anyone else wonder why we didn't push hard to get Carson Palmer? Because he can't stay healthy either.
Wayne Cubed Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Hey Wayne, if Sal, Joe B, Tyler and Fairburn listened to that interview they'd probably s**t their pants. That description wasn't a big endorsement for their boy Tyrod Taylor either Because he can't stay healthy either. Sure doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement for him either.
Hot Buffalo Wings Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Because he can't stay healthy either. He's healthier than Kevin Kolb.
metzelaars_lives Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I think a lot of you guys have nailed it. I think there is a massive conspiracy against EJ Manuel involving the entire Bills organization and every last Bills beat reporter.
thebandit27 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne Nice play by LB Andrew Hudson. Rookie rips around the end for a sack of Taylor. Reply Retweet Favorite 2m Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak Tyrod Taylor running 2nd team again today and EJ Manuel running third team. Expand 5m Sal Capaccio @SalSports Very next play McCoy bursts through line for huge gain. As I've said a few times, running game looks better every day. 6m Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne Matt Cassel in with the No. 1 offense again. Good coverage by Gilmore. Incomplete but official calls PI on 24.

Hapless Bills Fan Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I guess this issue with EJ is the fact you can guarantee he is going to return to inconsistency and inaccuracy. Fact....guarantee...I do not think these words mean what you think they mean
Kelly the Dog Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Makes you wonder why they talk to the national media and not the local media doesn't it? Most of the time national media guys get scoops is from the player agents who are national and not local guys, or officials of other teams who hear things or think they know things. They are not getting scoops from inside OBD that the local guys are not getting

I mean, the guy's from Boston, right?
shibuya Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Whaley used EJ as an excuse to pretty much further ignore the QB position for three offseasons (hell the redskins took cousins in the same draft the took RGIII, some years ago the cowboys took Steve Walsh in the same draft they took Troy Aikman). This is Whaley's fault not EJ's but EJ is the target because Whaley is teflon. Oh well Whaley is still a damn good GM and I still want him as the BIlls GM. Not many can't miss QB's entering the league this generation. Way more misses then hits.
eball Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Lots of screen play installation today, apparently. Multiple screens and handoffs from same formation.
VABills Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor rotating reps in 1-on-1s between WRs and DBs. Manuel and Simms running 9-on-7 run drill on other field.
YattaOkasan Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I'm reading a lot of screens during 11 on 11 first session. EJ also took a sack.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Lots of screen play installation today, apparently. Multiple screens and handoffs from same formation. but apparently never the same Play+Formation combo, interesting
GG Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 What echoes and from whom? Listening to the Greg Roman interview, he threw out some interesting soundbites. He spoke on how folks thought Alex Smith was a "bust" until he came on the scene. And how he want his QB to be big, physical so that he can do different things on offense Did you miss the part where he says that he values consistency most of all out of his QBs?
