quinnearlysghost88 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Wow, Where are the positives? Shouldn't a guy that we drafted to be QB two years ago have some command on a QB competition with a guy that has one NFL pass attempt and a 33 year old journeyman? We are having this competition because he's NOT doing the right things.
thebandit27 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Joe B said it was a "horrid throw" and way off the mark. Idk what to believe... I suppose if what Rex said is true--that the WR ran the wrong route--it would certainly look "horrid" and "way off the mark".
LeGOATski Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Consistency doesn't have to mean the best each day. Just means you're not the worst any day. Right now the swings seem bigger with Cassel and EJ. I suspect the leaning at OBD is towards Taylor at this point. I think he meant that he wants someone to be consistently better than the others. Someone new shines each day. i agree with your take on the individual consistency, though.
shibuya Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Joe B said it was a "horrid throw" and way off the mark. Idk what to believe... that would be the case if the WR zigged when EJ zagged
The Wiz Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) I suppose if what Rex said is true--that the WR ran the wrong route--it would certainly look "horrid" and "way off the mark". I was sitting right there on the throw. Lewis ran a stop and go and was suppose to be a comeback based on where the ball was thrown. Edited August 10, 2015 by The Wiz
LeGOATski Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I suppose if what Rex said is true--that the WR ran the wrong route--it would certainly look "horrid" and "way off the mark". Is it hard to tell in person? For instance, I was at the Cardinals' practice on Saturday. Their TE ran a curl route, but Palmer's throw went 5 yards to the outside of him. I could tell instantly that there was a miscue and, sure enough, the TE got yelled at. Even if Joe B couldn't tell that a wrong route was run, I bet a coach had something to say afterwards....but, at that point, Joe was probably too busy typing his latest tweet. I think if you're really paying attention to practice, you can tell what's going on. Even from out in the stands.
thebandit27 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I was sitting right there on the throw. Lewis ran a stop and go and was suppose to be a comeback based on where the ball was thrown. Hah! That'd do it. Thanks for the feedback.

johnwalter Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 26 had better watch out - yolo coming for that spot.
LeGOATski Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I was sitting right there on the throw. Lewis ran a stop and go and was suppose to be a comeback based on where the ball was thrown. That would be a much more informational tweet... 26 had better watch out - yolo coming for that spot. Best camp battle so far...
KOKBILLS Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Joe B said it was a "horrid throw" and way off the mark. Idk what to believe... I'd believe the HC and not the reporter who has an obvious dislike for everything EJ...
The Wiz Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) Hah! That'd do it. Thanks for the feedback. As for the overthrows, he missed Harvin by about 2 yards from my angle anyways. The Woods overthrow was a good 5 yards (not 10). Other than those miscues, he had a good day. Cassel did have a very good day today. Good zip on the ball and was hitting his receivers on the run. I will say that the TD to Watkins might have been called for offensive PI. Watkins was giving Gilmore a good shove off and the ball was coming in short. Taylor had an average day. I still see what people are worried about with him, making a read and then using his feet. I don't get the feeling he will ever be a pocket passer (not that he really should be). Couldn't tell if it was first team D vs 2/3 team offense but the left side was getting destroyed every play. Would have accounted for about 4-6 sacks between EJ and TT. On a personal note, Donnie Henderson is my favorite coach. When they were doing DB vs blocker he was giving it to guys pretty good. Heard and exchange between him and Sweeting: Donnie: You need to push him off you and get around Sweeting: he was holding Donnie: then break his hands and get around him! Sweeting: *lowers head in shame* Edited August 10, 2015 by The Wiz
Kelly the Dog Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Joe B said it was a "horrid throw" and way off the mark. Idk what to believe... It may be way off the mark if the WR is supposed to cut in and cuts out.
quinnearlysghost88 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) It could be worse (better?) Edited August 10, 2015 by quinnearlysghost88
LeGOATski Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 It may be way off the mark if the WR is supposed to cut in and cuts out. Obviously... It's about getting an accurate picture of what's happening. Joe B depicts a horrible throw with his tweet. Of course, he's not accountable because it's just twitter. Reality is that it was a miscue. The miscue could be EJ's fault, but still...
Dorkington Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Smiling even when he's whooping on someone... Damn Cam.
LB3 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Smiling even when he's whooping on someone... Damn Cam. I noticed that too.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Rex said WR ran wrong route on EJ int. Cassel had best day today. EJ in scrimmage. Taylor day before that. Wants consistency. I'll be JoKe B will make no mention of that.
YoloinOhio Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Smiling even when he's whooping on someone... Damn Cam. hilarious. I was just going to post that.
