FluffHead Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 or that he is a RFA next year and they really want him on the team.My point exactly. After a good season this year he would have been likely to draw an offer sheet from another squad.
NoSaint Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 or that he is a RFA next year and they really want him on the team. As an RFA he had 2 cheap years left. I'm curious to see the numbers. He's a good role player and likely not pricey.
Beef Jerky Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/07/11/late-mom-still-a-presence-in-life-of-bills-robey/
sodbuster Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 He's so dangerous against screens because he is quick to identify the play, and once he does,he closes so fast and beats the blocks before they are even set up. His speed once he commits is nothing short of amazing.
Rubes Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I have serious man love for Robey. Definitely one of my favorite players. LOVE hearing this.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 9, 2015 Author Posted August 9, 2015 @BuffaloBillsPR Newly resigned #Bills CB @NickellRobey_37 will be making the media rounds tomorrow AM. He’ll be on @WGR550 at 7:10 & @wcmfbreakroom at 7:20
Dragonborn10 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Now sign Bradham and Glenn to manageable deals. Then give Dareus a contract equal to Suh + 1% money.
NoSaint Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 And I'll beat up marrone on a lot but I'll give credit that I think this was his guy, right?
Blokestradamus Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 When I saw Nickell on the UDFA list with (Bills) next to his name, I wanted to do backflips. I'm glad I got past being annoyed at his punt returning fumbles. I look forward to watching the little guy blitzing again.
The Big Cat Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) How many corners have done that? In the past decade? Zero. Best query I could run without doing more than three laps around the internet shows that among defensive backs, nobody has tallied more than 8 in the past 10 years. Adrian Wilson: 8 (2005) Roman Harper: 7.5 (2011) Otherwise, among defensive backs, it's exceedingly rare for a player to eclipse 3.5. That was the league best in 2013 (among those tied was Searcy), and in that season, Robey came in at 3. I stand by my bold prediction. Edited August 9, 2015 by The Big Cat
TakeYouToTasker Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Fantastic. One of my favorite Bills of all-time.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 9, 2015 Author Posted August 9, 2015 @Rand_Getlin I'm told it's a two-year extension for Nickell Robey and the #Bills. The team wanted to reward him for his contributions.
Coach Tuesday Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Much better fit for the Rex D than he was for Schwartz. Still needs to become a more consistent tackler. We have four great corners, not counting Graham...
John from Riverside Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Robey shines in the type of defense Pettine (and now Ryan) put on the field........this was smart....EXTREMELY smart.....all credit goes to Whaley for identifying and retaining talent
Kelly the Dog Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 And I'll beat up marrone on a lot but I'll give credit that I think this was his guy, right? Donnie Henderson called Robey a couple times during the draft and said the Bills like you a lot and may be drafting you, and then right after the draft called him and convinced him to sign the UDFA contract after talking about what they envision he can do. Robey loved what he heard from Henderson and signed with the Bills.
John from Riverside Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 5'8 165#s of bad ass! Agreed....I have always looked at Robey and thought of another smaller DB I loved Greer....... Plays big
BarleyNY Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Good to see him locked up for a little while longer, but I'm curious to see the contract.
