marcusj Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Great baller. I just don't see him ever being healthy. I heard this on the radio this morning.

zow2 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 It's easy to say that now but he did play all 16 games as a rookie...no easy feat at his position. He might have a year or so blip here but ya never know. He could come back and play the next 5 years without any problems. Too early to call him injury prone.

Two knee surgeries, now concussion. He had a hip thing also, right? You're correct that he could heal up and never have another issue, but the odds aren't in your favor.

DrDawkinstein Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Reminds me of Zach Thomas and even Poz, two very good players that always have an injury. MLB is an extremely damaging position to play, probably the most violent of all the positions. I believe it was Thomas that likened it to being in a "Tumble Dryer full of 400pound boulders". Guys like London Fletcher are the lucky exceptions to the rule. Once the injuries start, it's all downhill from there.
