aristocrat Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Guy is a freak athlete who I thought after his first couple years was gonna be challenging for the all time sack record...he has one bad substance abuse problem. Hopefully he gets help
John from Riverside Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Its kinda scary to me that this man is in my state
Blokestradamus Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I watched my dad nearly throw everything away because he had a drinking problem. It's the most soul-destroying thing to watch a loved one going through what Aldon is plagued with. I genuinely hope he gets help before it's too late. Unfortunately, he's had many moments recently where self-realisation might kick in that he has a problem and it hasn't seemed to register with him.
eball Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I like Booger McFarland's response on Twitter: what sort of camp is Tomsula running that a guy can go out and get a DUI? We were in meetings until 10, curfew at 11.

26CornerBlitz Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 @AdamSchefter Aldon Smith walked out of jail and told KGO that it is was not a DUI, the truth will be told, and he apologized to fans.
LeviF Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Jeez. Kid bet on himself (restructured his 5th year option guaranteed money into pay-as-you-go) and still couldn't get it together, allegedly. Goes way beyond football suspensions at this point.
starrymessenger Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Wow 3 times in 1 week? CBF He must have lost a step if the cops chased him down.

Yea - at some point it crosses over from "young dumb and arrogant" that you assume and becomes "what in the world is wrong with this guy, is there an issue with mental health/addiction?" It's edging towards the latter quickly, if not already there.
T master Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 If it isn't bad enough that they have lost a bunch of players to FA already then this guy has to go out of his way to make things even tougher on all concerned !! I think he may get kicked out of the NFL . This is what the 3rd offense ?? Ole Rojjah ain't gonna take to kindly to that !!
Doc Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 There's a very real chance the 49'ers could end up with the 1st overall but most likely finish in the bottom 5. They have lost a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, replaced Harbaugh with a "meh" hire, and play in a tough division.

VaMilBill Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 This really upsets me when I see these guys get in trouble and basically lose their livelihoods. Literally all these guys need to do is not do anything illegal and they will get paid.
johnwalter Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Released! Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 5m5 minutes ago #49ers: “This organization has tried very hard to help Aldon fight his issues. He is no longer (on) team, our support for him will continue”
YoloinOhio Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 Redskins or Bucs will sign him. Maybe Raiders.

papazoid Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 some people are just too stupid to call a cab or limo.
BobbyC81 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Redskins or Bucs will sign him. Maybe Raiders. Jerry Jones! !
26CornerBlitz Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Smith was suspended for 9 games last season. He'll probably get 16 games this time if the DUI and other charges stick and I can't imagine any team signing him this season with him being a ticking time bomb.
