4merper4mer Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Oh, look! Everyone saying there is going to be something fun. That someone will praise their religious and stomp on someone's beliefs. Maybe someone will say something blasphemous. But, sorry to disappoint ya'll that's not happening. That's because as much as you like it, guys who are firmly embedded with their beliefs - pro religious or not - won't bother wasting time. All that can be said and there is no way to disagree with it; kudos for him for his beliefs, and so what? Three words summarize his diatribe: Me, me, me.
Mr. WEO Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 God created the crickets who's chorus of chirping has accompanied this incredibly uninteresting story.
boyst Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Three words summarize his diatribe: Me, me, me. yup, so?
ExWNYer Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Good for him. Takes some guts to say that publicly. You end up with a target on you. Maybe that's why God pulled AF's groin...
BarleyNY Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Why isn't it? Football and religion are closely intertwined and he's going against the grain. It's interesting to me and if it isn't for you.....So be it! What?? I assumed that was sarcasm.
SJDK Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Somewhere in Philadelphia Tim Tebows' eyelid begins to twitch as he reads about Foster... Edited August 7, 2015 by SJDK
sodbuster Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 This stands in stark contrast to somebody like Tom Brady, who not only believes in God, but seems to think of himself as the devine being.
jr1 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Rolling around Houston listening to Sam Harris audio books
White Linen Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Well I gotta say something about this, don't I? God's existence isn't dependent on people believing he does or doesn't - that's not the point of why we decide. There's something we can all agree on - God either does exist or he doesn't - that has to be true. The questions that one has to ask themselves are; If he does exist and I don't believe it, what's the result? If he doesn't exist and I believe he does, what's the result? Fadingpain Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I would like to bring this thread back on topic. EJ sucks!
White Linen Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I would like to bring this thread back on topic. EJ sucks! We know - and then we lost 3 draft picks to think we could make him better with Sammy. Morons I'll tell ya.
transient Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Two thoughts: 1) Who does AF think is responsible for SJ13's drop against the Steelers then? 2) If AF is right, have I been hallucinating His posts when I stalk The Aud Club on SabreSpace?
PromoTheRobot Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Maybe that's why God pulled AF's groin... God has it in for the Texans. He wanted that franchise in L.A.
gregmo Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 It's irrelevant to this board first and anyone who wants to bring religion into the place and space we come to avoid real world issues is a fool or worse a missionary. Second, the only thing "closely intertwined" is that religion is a fantasy and you can play fantasy football. When you prove God exists, I'll start listening. Ancient Aliens on H2...
enlightener Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 better than being devil worshippers...like all patriot players.
johnwalter Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 shocking that this made headlines. i'd guess more than a quarter of the league feels similarly.
