IDBillzFan
"The 2016 GOP nomination is going to Rand Paul. You watch. This is what I do for a living." --- Chris Matthews in 2013. . In all fairness, he's right. What he does for a living is consistently show how he's wrong about everything.

DC Tom
I didn't know he was still in. That's one of the fun things about this year's Republican primaries. I've seen about three people drop out already who I didn't even know were running.

I've seen about three people drop out already who I didn't even know were running. It's dawned on me that there must be a lot of money to be made just by making a half-assed run. Yes, I know, the money doesn't go directly to the candidate, but I think we all know they get their share of it.

B-Man
Beyond parody. This B.S. confirms every conservative "off the reservation" trope re: progressive patronization of minorities. NYT: Why the Cruz/Rubio candidacies are not historic "Neither Mr. Cruz nor Mr. Rubio meets conventional expectations of how Latino pols are supposed to behave" http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/02/04/opinion/campaign-stops/ted-cruz-and-marco-rubio-made-history-didnt-you-hear.html?_r=0 … Apparently the NYT now makes the rules on who is latino and who is not. B-Man
Ted Cruz is the first Latino to win a caucus or primary. Why isn’t that a bigger deal? Uhhhh. . . . . . . . . because he's a Republican. .
keepthefaith
Ted Cruz is the first Latino to win a caucus or primary. Why isn’t that a bigger deal? Uhhhh. . . . . . . . . because he's a Republican. . and because they aren't "down for the cause". If you're not part of the open border/amnesty crowd for hispanics or part of the other causes for other minorities, you aren't recognized as "one of them". Nanker
ah yes, the mexican version of "white power." Only no one cares, because they're mexicans. No, the progressives are all for la raza because of votes and they're racists. Just like they're for the black-only dorms in some colleges now. That's truly progressive. When Woodrow Wilson was president of Princeton University, he tried to keep blacks out of the school. Princeton, NJ itself was a segregated town. When he was POTUS he was firmly against the integration of the armed forces. That's quite something for the father of "progressiveism". He only took on the mantle of "progressive" because the label of "liberal" was so ****-stained at the time, they needed a new hat to wear in public. Seems like the jerks have come full circle. DC Tom
Can you imagine today's "civil rights" crowd marching in Selma 50 years ago? They'd demand a completely separate "safe" bridge be built for them to walk over.

Observer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAZfJJNXyqU Every time any of them debated Obama, they gave him strength. So much more tearing down of the other guy that discussing specific plans they have to fix things. It was the worst debate yet by far. Clearly Rubio's worst night but bad for all of them and terrible for the party. The winner last night was Hillary Clinton, who had to watch that childish display and know that she'd kill any of those candidates.
