Beef Jerky Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 He can have it... OJ isn't allowed to have that nickname after all the crap he did.
3rdand12 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 should they put him in jail now? I mean its probably good foresight if he turns out like the real OJ post football Not entirely accurate. Actually, The Juice was given that nickname as a synonym for his electric running style. Hence the o- line being the Electric Company bc they turned on "the juice". The orange juice angle was a side thing bc of his initials. The original meaning of the nickname is one of the better ones in pro sports. I did not know the story very cool. Thanks for sharing with us kids. Now i understand it better I agree.
DC Tom Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 BREAKING NEWS: Goodell suspends Bell for four games for violations of the league's PED policy. When asked for a statement, Goodell answered "I heard he was juicing."
hondo in seattle Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Not entirely accurate. Actually, The Juice was given that nickname as a synonym for his electric running style. The original meaning of the nickname is one of the better ones in pro sports. Point taken. But OJ was called "Juice" before there was an "Electric Company" in Buffalo. At first "Juice" was just a play on his initials but later grew into something more evocative. From a purely talent POV, as Tu-Toned suggests, calling a RB "Juice" is like calling a baseball player "Babe." Very few, if any, are good enough to deserve the epithet so it becomes a joke. But considering who the Juice became, calling a RB "Juice" is like calling him "John Wayne Gacy" - it's not a compliment. If I was a player, I'd be uncomfortable with either connotation.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Just saw a Steeler Fan post on face book that Tomlin just nicknamed LaDeveon Bell, "The Juice" I went off! How do you guys and gals feel about that? stands for roids , so all good There is no Lebron in the NFL. The first player that popped into my mind is Adrian Peterson in terms of his physical dominance. Lebron wishes he was JJ WATT!
Beef Jerky Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 stands for roids , so all good Lebron wishes he was JJ WATT! I doubt Lebron wishes that since he is the greatest athlete in his sport just like Watt is for football.
cage Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) Ladainian Tomlinson was nicknamed "LT"... Edited August 5, 2015 by cage

I was gonna say, I think the EC got their nickname because the Juice name existed. As far as any comparison between Bell and OJ, that's laughable. Dude couldn't carry OJ's jock.
