Beerball Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 For me it is o-line play. If that unit comes together and finds itself above average the running game will work and mediocre QB play will be a possibility based on decent protection. Mediocre QB play will, IMO, be enough to get to the playoffs based on the defense & ST. Below average o-line play won't allow even mediocre QB play to become a reality. Yes, after all this time I would call the playoffs a successful season.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I think if we score more points than the defense allows on a game by game basis the season will go well

BillsFan-4-Ever Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 coaches who can develop / improve players The O-Line stability and performance QB playing well.
PromoTheRobot Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Special teams! I'm not kidding. If special teams can give the offense a shorter field and opponents a longer field, we have a better chance of winning even with less-than-stellar QB play.
LeGOATski Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I agree. What's that old saying? "The game is won and lost in the trenches?" Provide clear lanes, a clean pocket, and they'll be golden.
Gugny Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If I had to say one, I'd also go with O-line. But I think turnover differential will be huge, too. Making the playoffs absolutely equals success, in my eyes.
Chandler#81 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Of course we need improvement in run blocking, but I expect improvement with Felton leading the way. For me, minimizing the inevitable mistakes that will come with new coaching/schemes/and as many as 7 new players on offense.
Virgil Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 QB, of course. Agreeing here is tough, but kind of a no-brainier. You don't have this, you don't have a playoff team. Can make all your weaknesses go away

BringBackFergy Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 It's a passing league. It all comes down to our CB's (hence the reason we picked Darby). If we can stop Tanneyhill, Brady and whoever the Jets have (along with Luck, Romo, Eli Manning), we win a lot of games 14-10 or 17-14. The second linchpin is Beer
Canadian Bills Fan Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I would also say QB confidence right up there as well CBF
San-O Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 QB, of course. Respect ur opinion, but the Bills are apparently really only needing a caretaker/game manager. With good O-line play, it won't really be as huge who is under center, whoever it turns out to be. None of these guys is running or completing any passes with constant D pressure. IMO
dpberr Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 The McCoy/Jackson duo exceeding expectations. Otherwise, that puts even more pressure on the QB to make plays through the air. 1,000 yard rushers. Each.
Kirby Jackson Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 It's QB play. If the QB can have a 2:1 TD to INT ratio and move the chain on 3rd down the Bills will be in the playoffs. They basically need a QB to minimize mistakes and make a few plays at important times. They don't need them to win the games but they need to keep them on the field.
bourbonboy Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 ??? All of the above are good answers, but for me the single most important item is for the Bills to stay injury-free....
Deranged Rhino Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 It always comes down to this guy, even when he's no longer with the team:
