Webster Guy Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 im confused, and I cant seem to find any articles on this. I have read that the recently upheld 4 game suspension is still meaningless because Brady will likely receive an injunction that allows him to play until the courts decide another appeal from Brady. are there nfl precedents for a situation like this? seems like it would make sense to defer the suspension, he might get injured and then take the suspension at that point, or he could drag it out a year and retire before he serves it, i have no clue. I really only care about week 2, and its strange not knowing whats going to happen after 6 months of this crap.
aristocrat Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Well, apparently Fed courts don't like to over turn decisions that were made by a mutually agreed upon arbitrator. Minnesota fed courts apparently are very union friendly so that is where brady is attempting to appeal. The NFL beat him to the punch by going to NY and asking them for an emergency ruling before the season. I think it was Pat williams that actually got an arbitration decision overturned so there is some precedent. It doesn't sound like an injunction is likely though.
