C.Biscuit97 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Whaley didn't nail every draft pick or free agency!!! Fire this bum!
Helpmenow Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Total stiff, they knew the guy couldn't play. Holy cow
C.Biscuit97 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Total stiff, they knew the guy couldn't play. Holy cow Actually, the best our running game looked was when he played.
GG Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Actually, the best our running game looked was when he played. Â Faint praise indeed
shibuya Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 John Miller and Richie Incognito will quickly let us forget his existence. Â At his cost Williams was a long shot because his play wasn't that good and he has injury issues
kickedface Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 finally! thought this move would've happened much sooner. guess its time to start talking to dareus about getting that money.
Rob's House Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Â Yeah, but more than a casual fan saw the PFF grade and also knew he was a washout 1st round pick and his second team wasn't in the bidding for him to come back as a premium FA. They were willing to bring him back at the vet minimum or slightly above, which is where his true value was. I agree with that. I'm just tired of false claims of vindication by people who didn't predict injuries would derail his stint here.
nucci Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 finally! thought this move would've happened much sooner. guess its time to start talking to dareus about getting that money. This is not in any way related to re-signing Dareus.
thebandit27 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Actually, the best our running game looked was when he played.  For some reason, ^this point gets ignored.  John Miller and Richie Incognito will quickly let us forget his existence.  At his cost Williams was a long shot because his play wasn't that good and he has injury issues  Agreed on Miller, who knows about Richie?  As to Williams, he only got $5.5M guaranteed over 4 years; he was a low-budget signing.
NoSaint Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I agree with that. I'm just tired of false claims of vindication by people who didn't predict injuries would derail his stint here. are you saying that the injuries have prevented my near inevitable vindication? that hardly seems fair!
Rob's House Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 are you saying that the injuries have prevented my near inevitable vindication? that hardly seems fair! Sometimes you just have to let those hard to reach chips go.
Steve in Carolina Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I dont know that remains to be seen......  The OG we drafted this year looks promising  We took 2 last year.....one of them is out of the doghouse and one of them was a starter We took 3 last year, rounds 2, 5 & 7
Agent 91 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Â Williams and Incognito? Incognito hasn't even played for us yet. Wayne Hunter
I'm Spartacus Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Wayne Hunter Well...we better get somebody....we are looking very thin at OL without any major stand outs!
YoloinOhio Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 @TCBILLS_Astro: Releasing #Bills OG Chris Williams (failed physical) doesn't affect cap much this year, but over next 2 years, yes==> http://t.co/9bnJbJzqaM
Big C Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Wayne Hunter Oh I thought he was coming on just as a camp body.
YoloinOhio Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Oh I thought he was coming on just as a camp body.i don't really count him as a "FA signing" either, though I guess technically he was.
klos63 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Actually, the best our running game looked was when he played. He made a key block on Fred's big run against Chicago to set up the winning FG in OT. Probably the only good block from our LG position all season.
vincec Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Actually, the best our running game looked was when he played. And Manuel was in there running the read option. That's the real reason, IMO.
