Kelly the Dog Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 If Tom cannot trust Ben Afleck's nanny, who can he trust? What is this world coming to when you cannot trust the nanny to keep quiet when you take her on a private jet to Vegas?!?! Goodell got to her. Along with Pash and Wells and Exponent.
Peter Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Goodell got to her. Along with Pash and Wells and Exponent. That must be the spin in New England among the "Free Brady" crowd. Very funny.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Divorce Court!!! Tom has been practicing up on his lies
PromoTheRobot Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Hey, maybe now we know why he destroys his phones. It's not the league he's worried about, it's Giselle.
ko12010 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Brady might have bigger troubles http://www.aol.com/article/2015/08/13/tom-brady-and-gisele-bundchen-keep-quiet-amid-split-rumors/21222586/?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl10%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D-225073631 the gossip industry legitimately disgusts me. I get physically ill from coming across any of those articles or videos.
JohnC Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) Some thoughts from Florio: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/13/a-lose-lose-outcome-in-brady-case-remains-possible/. Your thoughts? Dave Mcbride/Saint. http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/08/14/tom-brady-filing-roger-goodell-deflategate-federal-case-analysis The above link is a good summary by Andrew Brandt of the last legal proceeding between the parties, including some of the filings. The league's position is that it has a right to make a ruling regardless of the quality of the evidence or the deviation from the normal disciplinary process. It's apparent (to me) that there is not going to be an agreement between the two combatants. The judge is going to make his own determination. I think the judge is getting a kick out of exposing the dirty underbelly and heavy handedness in which the NFL goes about its business. Because Roger Goodell lacked common sense and good judgment in handling a manageable trivial issue the ultimate winners are going to be the lawyers on both sides: billable hours! 26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 @AlbertBreer Patriots QB Tom Brady is planning to attend tomorrow's court proceeding in New York City, per source. (@TomPelissero had it first)
Nanker Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Watching this case unfold is like watching a twerking marathon.

26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 @AnthonyDiMoro #Patriots Tom Brady and Roger Goodell both at settlement talks with federal judge James Francis, but talks went "nowhere." #sportsrants
26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 @AlbertBreer Per source, with settlement talks at a standstill, the judge informed Patriots QB Tom Brady there's no need for him to be there tomorrow.
4merper4mer Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 @AlbertBreer Per source, with settlement talks at a standstill, the judge informed Patriots QB Tom Brady there's no need for him to be there tomorrow. I wonder what that means.

Did I hear correctly today that the nfl isn't just pushing for Brady to concede that the report is accurate but also the nflpa to grant the league more range in punishments in their initial list of demands to settle?

I'm not sure that is what is happening. They can't do that. What they seem to be asking is for the NFLPA agreeing that they have the authority to do what they did in punishing Brady as in the current CBA, which will affect further punishments down the line in the acknowledgement that the NFL does indeed have the right - versus asking for more concessions that didn't exist before. If they are asking for more than they already believe they have, which seems difficult to believe, that's just plain stupid. Edited August 19, 2015 by Kelly the Dog
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I heard a snippet on the radio this AM. I think this is what they said. I can't back it up. Brady will not admit guilt to deflating the balls but would accept a lesser suspension for not fully cooperating with the NFL.
