The Wiz Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 They really screwed themselves. Nothing in the CBA says he can't be arbitrator, but they're b!@#$ing about him being arbitrator. Way to go, guys! Sounds like everyone on here complaining about the bills but are still bills fans.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 c'mon who doesn't destroy there phones every 4 months?
Malazan Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I have to wonder how long Brady will be willing to go with this. It seems to me that the longer he goes, the more he tarnishes his image. And, that being said, it's one hell of a shot across the bow from the league to file suit first. It's called the Streisand Effect. If he had worked with the league and was upfront with them, he probably would have gotten a fine and 1-2 games. Everyone would have moved on. If he keeps dragging this on, all that happens is his name gets associated more and more with cheating. In five years, someone will google Tom brady and there will be more stories about him cheating than anything he accomplished in his career.
ThurmasThoman Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 man. the patriots really hold the league in low regard, dont they? they don't play by the rules, they cheat (a lot) they don't agree with the league's decisions, they badmouth the shield, they basically say "nice try, but no thanks, ill play" etc. etc. etc. its REALLY starting to ruin my opinion of the NFL. can someone put this petulant, childish organization in its place once and for all?

YoloinOhio Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 @RapSheet: Interesting. @judybattista says the sides were moving close to a 1-game suspension settlement. But Brady wanted records sealed. NFL wouldnt
YoloinOhio Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 @AlbertBreer: Tom Brady and NFLPA will file for relief (would overturn suspension) or an injunction (would stay it) aimed at making sure Brady can play.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The best part of this is that it's all self inflicted. Brady chose to cheat. He got caught because he threw an interception. Rather than copping to it and taking a small fine, he made a stink. Because he made a stink, they started the investigation. Because of the investigation he started a cover up and tried to silence witnesses. Because of the cover up he gets hit with a punishment way put of line of the actual crime, and his reputation takes a worse hit than had he just gotten it over with.
YoloinOhio Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 @AlbertBreer: ... If Brady is granted either, and his case isn't resolved, he'd be free to play until it is.
DC Tom Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 @AlbertBreer: Tom Brady and NFLPA will file for relief (would overturn suspension) or an injunction (would stay it) aimed at making sure Brady can play. Yeah, this is going to get even stupider. At this rate, it'll end up in the Supreme Court.

If he does stretch it out and never gets suspended he should be banned from the HOF forever.

Goddell bent over backwards trying to make it go smooth.

YoloinOhio Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 (edited) Karma for Brady would be if he went to court knowing he is guilty so that he could play, even though he was offered the 1 game as a settlement and refused, and then got hurt sometime in the 4 games he would have been out, and is then done for the season. Even better, it's US that hurt him.
