oh i didn't realize micro fracture meant a specific area of the body, figured it was just a classification of other fractures.

micro fracture is not an injury. it is a surgical technique employed to generate a type of tissue that serves as a weak substitute for cartilage in whatever joint the injured athlete is missing it in.

Bruce Smith had microfracture surgery in 1991 and he had a rough season but he returned to defensive MVP form and was great for the next decade.

Bruce had it in 98, not 91. The 91 injury was different. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/ramblings/2007/microfracture-nfl

Edit: the 1991 injury involved bone chips and swelling, not cartilege: http://www.nytimes.com/1992/07/06/sports/football-after-controversies-and-injuries-bruce-smith-fits-the-bill-again.html

Has any team have more bad luck with #1 overall picks than the Texans? (Yes, I know, the Bills.)

Mario was a great #1 overall by the Texans in a muddled top 5 of gadgets and pony rides.

That is one of the greatest nicknames ever. He should have been more chill. :)
