He himself suffers from mental health issues. His goal is to change the way we talk about mental health issues and those who suffer from them. Just some context here.

It could thus be embarrassing to the league when the scores come out. Most people wonder what Wonderlic even means, let alone what the scores mean. This is therefore good PR for the league.

Or maybe it's because the wonderlic can be given en masse in a matter of minutes while a true standardized, norm referenced intelligence measure requires 1 on 1 administration by a trained professional and typically takes 1-2 hours to administer.
