could be a good get.

safe to assume hed be getting low level starter compensation and the day 1 favorite, or has he fallen to depth/league min type of player?

Very similar to Cassel. Good veteran depth and leadership. If he's starting, your young guys failed and it's not a great situation. Love him as a backup. He's better than Wayne Hunter. In years past, he would have signed a big deal to be our starter.

Last 3 yrs - 45 starts, 2 holds, 13 sacks

@HolderStephen: Updated story on Cherilus: Apparently, he's ready to return to the field. Also, Colts not ruling out re-signing him http://t.co/yDYmqeyIe5

Irrelevant side note: that site has a "find a meth lab near you" map. That's awesome. :lol:

lol. I don't expect him to compete for a starting job, but he's the vet depth we need right now. Not much to choose from.

Nor do I...and actually he's passable as a fill-in RT. His lackluster play with Indy was more a result of injury issues than anything else IMO.

That said, his $7M/year contract was just another shining example of Ryan Grigson's genius as a GM.

Can't believe I didn't think about this at first. We play the Colts in the opener. Nice to bring in a former starter to get a little insight in their strategy.

"So.......you were with the Colts last year. What's their gameplan?"

@PFF

Don't be surprised by the Colts releasing Gosder Cherilus, only 12 OTs had a worse grade in pass protection in 2014.

Was Henderson one of the 12?
