Pneumonic Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Misconstrued? So saying !@#$ tom and he's going to be throwing watermelons is misconstrued as the guy being on a diet? We are talking a "possibility" here so who knows what the Wells team might have surmised and produced for public consumption.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Maybe Brady knew, by this time, that this was nothing more than a witchhunt and, absent a subpoena, was done with it all. Or, maybe he simply didn't trust handing over his text's to them for fear that some of it might find its way into the public and be misconstrued. Kinda like what actually happened. The 5th interview (the Pats reference) is the 2nd one (that Wells asked for). you are aware that with the proper tools your phone can be hacked and messages intercepted. it's done every day by the gov't. why not a hacker. item 2. if you don't want "bad" information being intercepted don't use electronic devices. item 3. if the didn't know these guys texting him he could have taken steps to stop them from doing so. the easiest of which is changing your phone number and a bribe to some guy in the telephone network can look up your account and provide the data for a nominal fee.
mikemac2001 Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 We are talking a "possibility" here so who knows what the Wells team might have surmised and produced for public consumption. What about the needle might have a pump text? Referring to his diet of course
Mr. WEO Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 You, me, Wells and others have zero idea what is on his phone. Brady also answered a lot of questions. There could be stuff on his texts that likely contradict his testimony. Like he said he didn't really know McNally, but his texts could very well have proven he did, which Jastremski proved that he did. But that is just someone saying he knew him. True, but Wells was never going to find out all that was on his phone. It was a voluntary thing for Brady. All he had to do is give him what Wells already had and he would have been compliant. Since any other deep dark secrets on the phone regarding other cheating weren't available to Wells, why didn't Brady just comply? Yes, you do know why. You just can't bear to bring yourself to say it. If this were any other team, even the Bills, you'd be sardonically laughing at Brady's refusal to produce his phone and the lies being tossed out by them. However as is your wont, because you've spend the better part of the last 15 years telling yourself and everyone else that the Cheatriots are a model organization, you make excuse after excuse for them that would make the most ardent Lance Armstrong fanboy envious. As the greatest confabulator on TSW, does saying that stuff really make you feel better? A model organization?

Not sure what your point is. At any rate, I am an EE and understand data communications quite well. What about the needle might have a pump text? Referring to his diet of course It's all about context or, in the case of the Wells report, the lack thereof. Without proper context, many things can, and often times are, misconstrued ..... especially by a public who, generally, are inept when it comes to reading, digesting and processing words.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Not sure what your point is. At any rate, I am an EE and understand data communications quite well. An EE would well be aware what I was saying. I'll make it simple for you IF you do not want people to know what is on your phone DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE
NoSaint Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Misconstrued? So saying !@#$ tom and he's going to be throwing watermelons is misconstrued as the guy being on a diet? The obvious take for the pats would be "angry employee makes smug remark (or joke) about screwing qb by inflating to the max (or beyond) doesn't mean they were illegally under inflating"
Pneumonic Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 An EE would well be aware what I was saying. I'll make it simple for you IF you do not want people to know what is on your phone DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE Yeah, OK. Still not following you. What does my being an EE have to do with what Brady and company did, or didn't do, in all of this?
Kelly the Dog Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 True, but Wells was never going to find out all that was on his phone. It was a voluntary thing for Brady. Because he's a liar and cheater and has something to hide and knows he would be caught.
Pneumonic Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Why did he say he didn't know McNally? Because he's a liar and cheater and has something to hide and knows he would be caught. The answer could simply be that Brady didn't know McNally ... by proper surname. Heck, Brady didn't even get the guy's nickname right.

NoSaint Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) That's at least a plausible answer/argument. Given the wider context and their awful explanations thus far it's not great but if from the release they said "the balls come from the manufacturer pumped way up and this is our guy that scuffs them up and let's some air out (but should be to a legal level) and they joke that his job title deflator as joking between friends" it would have been a hell of a lot better than the diet angle. You realize how naive or stupid that sounds, right? McNally is responsible for Brady's balls at Gillete stadium. He's done it almost the entire time Brady has been there. You guys seem to be taking each individual item and saying "there is no 100% proof" here, it could be that x happened. Even if that were true, which it isn't, Brady not being the knowing ringleader of this is the equivalent of a dozen 100-1 shots coming in in a row. If you look at the totality of the entire situation it's impossible.

Much like when I used to give my secretary paperwork that needed to be copied and I instructed her to take these down to Jess, the Xerox gal in the print room. Even though Jess printed off stuff for me daily and I dined in the same lunch room with her and and saw her almost on a daily basis, I never knew Jess' surname.

McNally brought the balls to Brady personally. He brought them to him the game in question. He has been with the Patriots since before Brady and has been responsible for the game balls the last 14 years.
