So just to take a straw poll here - it feels like the boards general tone is that the media is in the leagues pocket because they are scared to upset them... Unless it involves a soon to retire player and q coach that doesn't give them access anyway... Then the league allegiances are out the window?

I don't know if that's true but I do know a lot of sports media talking heads are blowing smoke for Brady.

Is there a reason they are doing this or might it just be their take?

Hope they brought their shovels. Gonna be a B word finding the door.

@BartHubbuch: Tom Brady didn't speak but attorney Jeff Kessler said: "Tom was there until the BITTER end."

@MikeGarafolo: On way out of 345 Park, Ted Wells says he testified today. No further comment beyond that.

I pray that Tommy somehow survived this harrowing ordeal. He has a fragile psyche as evidenced by his severe insecurity about his legacy.

You want their take? It's "Why are we still talking about this?" "I'm bored of this already!" "What's the big deal?" "Brady has 4 rings. He doesn't need to cheat." "Goodell and the league owe Brady an apology." Yada Yada.

What they never talk about is the stuff that shows Brady and the Pats** are hiding something. They have their brooms out and rugs lifted.

I was asking why you think they are carrying water for Brady

Anyone see when a decision is expected? Hardy had his appeal end of May and nothing yet...

There's rarely a tight timeline on these in the offseason. We will find out when we find out.

The Espn article made it sound like Brady testified and gave stellar testimony.

Edit: from the Espn article:

No details of the hearing were immediately available but a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that "Tom Brady's greatest ally today was Tom Brady."

Sources also told Schefter that Brady came off as very genuine, earnest, and persuasive, addressing every issue raised in the league-sanctioned Wells report.

One of the sources called it "an A+ performance."

So, who leaked these details to ESPN, the NFL or Brady's people?

Anyway, I don't think it matters much. I think Goodell has known all along how this was gonna be decided since Kraft fell on his sword "for the good of the league."

I doubt it. I think he's schitting his pants at the prospects of coming into The Ralph and facing the cold front.

Unless he provided a good explanation for not producing his texts and ended up producing them, I would hope the suspension will stand.

Has anyone else ever been suspended for this? I know the nfl tried to hit Hargrove for not participating in an investigation and it was overturned.... Anyone else? Gostkowski likewise didn't turn over requested records and got no punishment. Is this just the right punishment because you like Tom Brady getting hit or because it makes sense in the context of nfl history?
