I get 2, 3, and 4. Don't agree with all of them, but get them. I do not want to see the Pats get drilled just cause Roger spent a bunch of money on the report . they already lost the draft picks, not matter what happens.

But I refute # 1 if I am understanding your point correctly, which I may not be. But I think the science in the report is bad, mainly I think the firm they hired to run the "science" part of the report is , as they say, a " hired gun" to do exactly as you say. They went in with a conceived notion about the balls based on the NFL paying them....and that is what they found. I believe you are saying this latest group went in with the belief the science is bad, and found that. So maybe we agree both sides are biased!

This Exponet company found not so long ago second hand smoke does not cause cancer...in studies paid for by ?????

All of the refuting of the science is based on the fact that there are "potential" issues in the findings of the Wells report, because several of the "scientific facts" that Wells concluded were not absolute facts.

But the irrefutable facts are that:

1. The Colts noticed an under-inflated ball in an earlier game.

2. The Colts made the league aware of a ball they intercepted and thought was under-inflated in championship game.

3. The NFL took all balls out of the game at halftime and measured them after they'd already been measured before the game.

4. All Patriot balls were well below what they started at.

5. All Colts balls measured were significantly less of a change.

6. McNally, nicknamed "The Deflator" stole all of the Colts and Patriots balls right before the game from under the refs watch.

7. McNally took those balls into a bathroom with no windows and ample time to deflate.

8. After the game and when questioned, McNally told three different answers to NFL investigators as to why he did that and what he did.

9. McNally and Jastremski texted and joked openly about deflating the balls.

10. McNally texted Jastremski earlier in the season at halftime of a game and instructed him to deflate.

11. Brady denied even knowing McNally and refused to give investigators his texts about the incident.

12. The Patriots fired McNally and Jastremski.

13. The league spent millions on an independent investigator who didnt look into the science at all himself but hired two different groups or persons, who both said the balls were tampered with.

Conclusion? Brady and the Patriots did nothing at all wrong, it was all coincidence.

But it was in the league's best interest to find that the balls were NOT tampered with. They would have LOVED to have been able to cite science supporting that position. The deflation was a major black eye for the league.

I heard something earlier this week about Brady* looking not only to have suspension removed, but to be exonerated by the league.

That was my point. The league, I'm sure, would have loved to sweep this under the rug, but couldn't be directly involved.

The Wells report was independent. It involved an outside party, going to two different labs to test possible claims. Both came up with the same result. It just so happens that when the Patriots hire an outside group, and pay them a lot of money, they say what the Pats want to hear.

Even without those lab results, there is more than enough circumstance that makes a coincidence unlikely. You'd never nail anyone on a criminal charges if they had a decent lawyer...but this is not that.

Brady is reportedly refusing to talk during the entire appeal and expects to be totally exonerated.

So did A-Rod.

oh that will get him far!

his arrogance is embarrassing

that is THE #1 reason I dislike the guy.

Brady* has one chance and that is to come clean, serve the 4 game suspension and take the blame for McNally and Jastremski to help them get their jobs back. Otherwise he is an arrogant dick who should be banned for the year.

I hadn't really thought of that angle. There is a very good chance he won't say a lot during the appeal other than the report and science was flawed. There is a very good chance the appeal will be denied and he will serve his four games, the Patriots** will say we disagree with but accept the ruling and these two guys will be out of a job just because Brady is an even bigger arrogant lying prick than before.

I personally don't think the cheating helped him much at all. I still think he's one of the best QBs ever. But letting these two guys take the fall because he's unwilling to tell the truth should really tarnish his reputation.

Those two are gone no matter what. He isn't saving their jobs by saying they were cheating for him. They still did it in that scenario.

If Brady*** fesses up I see the suspension reduced to 2 games.

Dumb and Dumber will never get their jobs back. IF Brady*** sticks to his "I'm innocent" stance then it means that the twins were out to sabotage the Putz.

How the hell do you keep that kind of secret from upper management with what? 20 - 30 people always looking to stab someone in the back to climb the ladder??

So in other words he was the ringmaster and they lose their jobs for doing it but he keeps his because he is Tom Brady? That is a way worse look for the team and for him. Way worse.
