Chef Jim Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Yikes. Our drought can actually be a good thing for wildfires. We get virtually no rain from late spring until late fall so it's always dry here this time if year. The drought means there is not as much vegetation on then hills. After a particularly wet rainy season there is much more vegetation that dries up during the summer and becomes fuel for wild fires.
