boyst Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Reminds me of that girl who made the news for her video supporting Obama. What was her name again? What happened to her again? Oh, that's right. No one remembers. she had big jugs.
TakeYouToTasker Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Horse crap. Conservatives want all the programs they just want to belly ache about others getting government stuff also. None of the Republicans running are even talking at all about cutting Medicare or turning medicare over to a private system. For all the chest pounding, millions of poor old Conservatives would be dead now if not for the federal government providing them with health care. Look how much they screamed when Obama took billions out of the program for Obamacare. And how about veterans. For all the problems it has, the VA is not going anywhere. That's socialized medicine. And when it's overwhelmed we send more money there to fix it instead of calling on vets to man up and do the rugged individualistic thing and seek a free market solution to their health care. This might be your worst argument ever. Individuals who have had their money forcably removed from them by the state at gun point, which the state then gets a worse rate of return on their money than they could have themselves, with the state's promise that they will return some of that money to them in retirement; who then want the state to honor that promise are not supporting the system. They are making the best of a terrible situation, the alternative being that the state has forcibly taken their money and given then nothing back. The VA is an employment benefit. But then, you knew both of those things and are just being an ass.

They passed the law, took the money and created health care for the elderly. And what a success it has been! The elderly are no longer living in poverty at anywhere near the rate they were before medicare. And no one, especially old Conservatives, want to harm, interfere or get rid of it. And the VA is also socialized medicine. Saying its not is just a word game, Mr point of the gun. Meanwhile, back at the campaign. Trump is saying all the immigrants have to leave! I'm starting to believe! https://www.yahoo.com/politics/trump-deport-criminal-aliens-126838527651.html
Deranged Rhino Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 No one took ANYTHING from ANYONE at gun point. And what would happen to the citizen who decided not to follow the law and pay into the system?

Who is Yuri? Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 It's the Mexicans' fault everybody. They are the new Jew.
Azalin Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 It's the Mexicans' fault everybody. They are the new Jew. What exactly do you have against Jews and Mexicans?
Who is Yuri? Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I have a lot of friends who are Mexican Jews, but they're just horrible, really vicious criminals. They've got blood coming out of their eyes and whatevers.

Azalin Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 How again are the Republicans not the batsh** crazy party? How embarrassing They're apparently not any crazier than the dems, who are reacting to Sanders in much the same way, for many of the same reasons. Both are refreshing in that despite whether you agree with them or not, they're upsetting the applecart and telling it 'like it is'. Don't be surprised when both of them lose momentum and more typical/traditional candidates overtake them in the polls.

How embarrassing I agree. Border security, fiscally responsible government, a growing economy and a principled foreign policy are all ridiculous objectives compared to the war on women, a higher minimum wage, free-for-all borders and citizenship, free services funded by debt, the coddling of terrorists and the demonization of rich white bankers.

I guess you can obfuscate till you are blue in the face--and I'm sure you will--but your comparison is wrong on so many levels. Sanders uses a boogeyman label in "socialist" but he is no reality show star, doctor crank or simple rabble rouser
DC Tom Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 How again are the Republicans not the batsh** crazy party? Well...for starters, they don't have you. You should write for Gawker. Your hyperbolic partisanship would fit in well over there.

Sanders uses a boogeyman label in "socialist" but he is no reality show star, doctor crank or simple rabble rouser There's nothing false about it, you dimwit. Once again you prove the complete futility of trying to discuss anything with you. If you can't see the similarity in the attraction between Sanders and Trump, then that's a testament to your total lack of perception. Your last remaining neuron is fading fast. Well...for starters, they don't have you. You should write for Gawker. Your hyperbolic partisanship would fit in well over there. Only if they have podcasts, because he couldn't spell 'hyperbolic partisanship' if he cut & pasted it. Edited August 17, 2015 by Azalin
Magox Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 People have truly gone off the rails. Sessions and Coulter, two of the biggest immigration hard liners have helped craft Trump with the most inane immigration proposal that you could possibly imagine. Never mind the fact that it is completely unconstitutional, it would cost in the hundreds of billions of dollars, be seen throughout the entire world and even here as horribly inhumane. What makes Trumps proposal dangerous isn't that it would actually become implemented simply because he stands not a snow balls chance in hell to win the elections, but because now you have TV personalities, opinion writers that hold sway that are actually now defending his indefensible "plan". To be honest, I don't even believe that they believe it's a good plan, but they are selling a product and there are literally hundreds of thousands rabid people who want to buy into this. These morons actually believe that building a damn wall is a real economic plan. They think deporting 12 million people is not only acceptable, but something that they'd actually enjoy seeing. I see it in the comments section plastered all over the place. This sentiment runs rampant within the conservative base. I've thought about the positions these people have and I've come to the conclusion I have more in common with a moderate centrist democrat than I do with these folks. Only thing is that those moderate democrats are nearly extinct, the Democratic Party is essentially a Democratic socialist party. Both parties have moved further out to the extremes. Ronald Reagan would have never endorsed the idea of mass deporting millions of people. All these people who wax nostalgic of the great days of Reagan are nothing like him, and he's nothing like the base of todays Conservative party.
