I have to think that if he was really the aggressor and actually clocked a kid in the face he wouldnt have escaped the felony charge. I dont know. This sounds like some BS that goes down between one hot-headed jerk who is used to being the boss and the spoiled neighbor kid that has to talk back. Kid got his pole thrown in the water and pushed. Not a career ender, imo.

That is pretty close to my take. If he actually was believed to have gone down there, punched a child in the face, thrown his fishing pole in the water and threatened to kill his family... And done so unprovoked to top it off....

He wouldn't be sent home so quickly.

Were gonna fire somebody because he threw someone's fishing pole in the water?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't fishing poles supposed to be in the water? Aren't they made for precisely that? Isn't water a fishing pole's natural habitat?

Couldn't imagine calling the cops every time I was punished as a kid

You & me both brother !!

My old man would have had a life sentence , (but of coarse i didn't deserve it -- NOT) but i will say he taught me that my actions have consequences something sorely missing in todays teachings !! I feel i'm a better person for it !!

But todays world is IMHO way to lenient on a lot more then just child rearing !!

But then again i'm a old fuddy duddy with a closed mind !!

Agreed. This Is one we really have to hear both sides of the story and the cops version of the story as well as read between the lines from the actual actions that were taken. Letting him out early and saying the injuries were not sufficient to be a felony charge makes me believe that there is a decent chance the kids exaggerated.

exactly. just like kromer's fist's natural habitat is a teenager's face.

Especially being an adult and a minor.

Could end up very wrong here, but as you said- reading between the lines of the facts (ie charge and timeline) doesnt seem to match the story.

So there were 3 teens involved and not one of them had their phone recording the incident?

Well they were obviously Jaguars fans. What hasn't been reported is that there were actually six beach chairs, not three, but the other three had tarps draped over them.

Well played.

Well I hope he didn't do that to a neighbor's son who's a minor.

Lol.

Definitely not what we need...he is a GREAT oline coach

How great we're his results in Chicago? Honest question.

chris brown is reporting that kromer was merely offering the young lads a ride home since he was concerned that they were out so late. and he accidentally punched the kid in the face when going in for a firm handshake. and, as for the so-called "threat" -- what he actually said was, "i'm gonna kill your freakin' family...with love!"

Lol. Exactly.

Look at his career as an o line coach, instead of Chicago

Using that approach, Marrone is a great offensive line coach too.

A grown man allegedly punching a kid in the face and getting just a misdemeanor? Sounds more like he slapped him

The WGR report tells what happened according to the kids but how much is truth & how much COULD BE a punk kid pissed because he got caught & put a bit of exaggeration in his story to make himself & his buddies look like the victim ?

If what was stated in the report is true Kromer needs some anger management help !! of course one of our linemen said basically the same thing in a altercation during camp last year & nothing else was said .

But i also keep in mind the amount of times i've personally been told about teenagers today telling their parents if the parent were to spank them or correct them with any physicality they would call the cops ! Welcome to todays world !

Until both sides of the stories are heard i personally will not pass judgement !! Especially when your dealing with 3 rich (spoiled) teenagers) !!

^Truth^. Teenagers today often think they are way more entitled than what they actually are to start with. Then when they know they can get into trouble with mom & dad, will make up a story to try and keep from getting into trouble. Gotta hear both sides of the story and frankly, a misdemeanor charge is probably not going to amount to much.

Heck, marrone might be if left solely to OL and no one else in their ears. But kromers resume is much better still.
