Totally seems that way when he talks about Shady and Watkins. Rex talks a good game, but you can hear the sincerity in his voice when he's talking about the moves Shady's making in camp and how complete Sammy is. It's just nice to hear, even if it's not surprising, because it comes off as genuine. Of course QB is the big question mark, and it will remain so until they start playing some preseason games and we can see for ourselves how far along these guys are (speaking for the out of town folks who can't make it to camp of course).

well, if it helps at all, the main playmakers - Watkins, McCoy, clay, Harvin, woods - are all YAC freaks or can create their own plays. So we will see short passing game from the QB and whoever can do that the best will win th job. I think Cassel can do that based on history and the past 3 days. I don't think EJ can handle the short passing game. I want him to do it but we just don't have a lot of time. I don't see it in TC.

EJ's good throws have been deep. I am not sure that fits with what they need to do to win. Jmo. I have been an EJ supporter for a really long time and I still pull for him but I am at the point where I'm just not sure it's there. There is so much talent on this team and it has been so long. I just want to make the playoffs.

Do people really believe that there is some "anti-EJ" agenda? If so, why do you believe that? I'm just trying to figure out why we try so hard here to justify every mistake that he makes? Or any Bills player for that matter, there is going to be some good and some bad. That is football. For some reason though, we feel the need to make excuses for the bad. If you make more good than bad you will have success. It doesn't sound like the offense is doing that at the moment.

I believe many have given up on EJ and want anyone else but him.

Serious question... why is EJ the one we get rid of if all three suck equally (from the sounds of it) so far? Is it just because Tyrod is "Rex's guy" and Cassel is a vet? Or is there a financial gain to be had?

EJ might get the most in return? That's just a guess.

Carucci is the best of those mentioned the others seemed set against EJ "looking moderate".

Do you really believe that they have an agenda to say that he is bad? They really could care less. They report what they see.

So EJ had last reps with the 1s and all that was reported was a rumbled snap. Like I said, it be nice to hear more than just things like that, I know those generate clicks but it would be nice.

I wouldn't call it anti-EJ as I previously said Buscaglia was Meh Cassel as his worst QB through 2 practices. I think it's the over reporting of what he is doing wrong and not reporting on what else is going on with the other QBs.

again I say the failure of Twiits. Instantaneous news is a piece of the puzzle. If all pieces are not shown your puzzle can not be completed.

Ugh.

If EJ gets traded this preseason for a low round pick, Whaley may need to be fired. I'm serious. The lack of urgency and ultimate failure regarding the QB position is unacceptable. Sam Bradford was available for trade this offseason. Josh McCown was in town and they let him leave without a contract. No QB was drafted despite several developmental prospects being available (Bryce Petty, etc.), several of whom were on the Bills' radar screen. There is no excuse for another lost season, especially given the talent that exists throughout the rest of this roster.

I know it's harsh and maybe premature but I've just about had it with Doug Whaley.

Wait, seriously? This guy has loaded our team with talent... there's only like 10 good QBs in the league, come on now.

that is why I think we dump MEH.

Exactly, half the teams in the league are just throwing college QBs against the wall to see what sticks.

As I said. I think they are convinced EJ is not good enough and want the other 2 and not EJ to be good.

I think that's true from the fans.

When it comes to a game and EJ still looks bad with the 1's as I watch the game and not going against a top rated D, then I will admit I am wrong. until then I won't follow instantaneous reactions from twiits

Oops. Nevermind. Just saw Rex's Presser. I don't know what I'm talking about.. I did mean to reference Henderson's challenge with Miller -not Kujo, but Rex threw flowers at Wood "I dont see Wood being replaced anytime soon.."

Chandler i was going with it. I knew what it meant buddy.

Call me crazy but even if EJ has a shaky training camp I'd still rather see him start the season given the few options we have. He has the biggest upside once he finds his groove.

I hope we don't trade him. It would be very disappointing to watch someone else get hurt and all of a sudden we don't even have EJ as a backup.

for the record

Ryan explained that he and his offensive staff believe Cassel is a veteran that knows what he’s doing, while Taylor and Manuel can be more effectively developed by getting them additional work with the second and third team units.

So IMO, if the pro can't cut it, (perform well above) buh bye

Tyrod will get his equal turns at the one spot and so will EJ, so we’re putting them there, but when we go to running some other units they go down with the threes because they’re younger and are going to be with some of these younger guys. We think that’s the best way to develop these young quarterbacks.”

wait what? Rex wants to develop young quarterbacks?

Cassel will be the first cut.

Based on what I saw yesterday, I'd be inclined to agree. It looks like he has no zip on his passes anymore.

I guess it isn't instantaneous at this point. This has been a consistent message from those watching practice. There has been a regression since he got here. He wasn't put in a fair situation but it doesn't matter. He already is seeing the fewest reps with the starters. This isn't some conspiracy campaign. It's a simple reading of the tea leaves.

It may not even be a conscious thing on their part, but they are definitely on the negative side with him.
