The Poojer Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 this is a hell of a final round...it may go to another day.....
26CornerBlitz Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 @TheOpen Spieth battles back from double-bogey with a birdie on 9. He's 2 shots off the lead. http://www.theopen.com/Leaderboard #TheOpen https://twitter.com/TheOpen/status/623155450603700226 Talk about being resilient! @PGA_com .@JordanSpieth bounces back from double bogey with two consecutive birdies. Now one behind the leaders.
LB3 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Spieth just hit a 50 ft birdie to tie at -15 going into the 17th!
26CornerBlitz Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 NOOOOOOOOO. Spieth If anyone can bounce back at 18 with a Bridie it's Spieth.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) can't believe how easily rattled golfers are by crowd noise, a phone goes off and Speith totally loses his focus. When I go for a max lift nothing can break my focus even though I want it quiet. Edited July 20, 2015 by Buffalo Barbarian
truth on hold Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) Rude fans distractingHim On his approach to 18 did him in. He doesn't make that mistake if he didn't have to reset Edited July 21, 2015 by JTSP
Buffalo Barbarian Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Rude fans distracting Him On his approach to 17 did him in. He doesn't make that mistake if he didn't have to reset these guys should practice with random crowd noise like NFL teams do with massive crowd noise so they are mentally capable of getting through the situation with out resetting or having it throw off their game.
The Poojer Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Zach Johnson...what a frigging cry baby...wah wah wah....
Gugny Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I went with Spieth. Serena is the most dominant athlete in any sport (men's or women's) ever in my opinion. It wouldn't shock me at all if she did it, because she's so much better, even at her age. It would still be an incredible feat either way though. Whereas everyone else in tennis is a lesser opponent for Serena, there are a lot of golfers who you could argue are Spieth's equals. For him to win four majors against his equals, it would be unbelievable because he would need to be nearly flawless those four weekends. I think Navratilova, Graf, King, Evert and Margaret Court would disagree re: Serena being the most dominant. I do believe, as Pooj stated, that Serena's longevity and doing what she's doing at this point in her career, are very impressive. I also have zero doubt (nothing to back it up; just my opinion- no, I don't have a link, so don't ask) that she's been on steroids for her entire career. I think a golf calendar grand slam would be the bigger feat, regardless.
LB3 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I think Navratilova, Graf, King, Evert and Margaret Court would disagree re: Serena being the most dominant. King and Evert both agree with me. http://touch.metro.us/sports/legends-evert-king-call-serena-williams-greatest-ever-metro-us/tmWmie---26cv55IcoExFE/ Navratilova thinks Serena can be. http://edition.cnn.com/2013/01/18/sport/tennis/tennis-serena-williams-australian-open/
