NewEra Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) Jet defense won't be even close to as good as the Bills, Dolphins will flop like always. What's "even close"? If the bills are top 3 and the jets are top 7, maybe higher, that's not close? Jets will have a great D this season, as will we. Edited July 8, 2015 by NewEra
Juice_32 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Ross Cockrell is out of Rice and Urbik played good ball last year. Informative... Honestly he was pretty knowledgeable. I just cant wait for week 1.
YoloinOhio Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I heard that too! Those guys are clueless when it comes to anything outside of Ohio sports, which is surprising considering Rothman is supposedly a Vikings fan. They later corrected for Tyrod and laughed him off saying he's clearly nothing. not to mention that Matt Hayes the producer - the one who first said it was TJax - claims to be a die hard Ravens fan. Did he not know that his backup signed with the Bills? He seemed clueless.
LeGOATski Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Decent review and preview. I can honestly see the Bills finishing anywhere in the division. The quality of QB play will be a coin-toss from week to week. I have a lot of faith in the coaching staff, though. Last time Rex had a RB as good as McCoy, he took the team to two consecutive AFCCs. Just like those Jets teams, we have a great defense and a good OC running a multiple, run-heavy scheme.
Luxy312 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 The single biggest problem that I have with his "analysis" if you even want to call it that, comes down to his conclusion that it will come down to whether the Bills can get consistent QB play. He almost completely ignores the fact that the Jets are going to be rolling out there with Geno Smith every week. Is he assuming the because they drafted Bryce Petty in the 4th round that he's actually going to win the job and be better than Geno? If not, Geno's a guy that's started almost 2 full seasons and has 25 TD passes to his 34 Interceptions. Plenty of fumbles lost as well. Is he talking about Ryan Fitzpatrick being the guy? Is he really any better? Besides possibly Brandon Marshall, who's getting up there in age, who's the big threat for the Jets offensively? Even if you assume they're both pretty good defenses (I actually expect both to be top-5 in the NFL), the Jets have far less weapons on the other side of the ball. Chris Ivory and Steven Ridley running the ball? Really?? What about the Dolphins offense? Do they really look all that great? Barring injury to a significant player, I cannot see this team any worse than 2nd.

hondo in seattle Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Every non Bills fan seems to think Geno is better than what we have. Maybe cuz I am a Bills fan, I don't see it. Geno is erratic. Both MC and EJ are just as good, if not better. The NYJ do not have an advantage at QB. Plus you have to look at the whole passing game. I think, given the overall talent we have, that our passing attack will be more effective than NY's.
LeGOATski Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Every non Bills fan seems to think Geno is better than what we have. I feel like everyone expects Ryan Fitz to eventually start and be serviceable in Chan Gailey's offense. The updated Madden 15 rosters certainly think that...

I'm with you, but when I see everyone outside of Buffalo claiming EJ and Cassel are the worst QBs in the league, then I start to wonder if my own biases cloud my judgment. :|
